His leadership team has once again showed up to BOE meetings and now County Council meeting seemingly unprepared with answers to questions folks should have seen coming a mile away. That says to me that your Leadership team hasn’t briefed you about what is going to be delivered and if they did you didn’t ask the key questions so they would know to be prepared to address.

But again, I cannot understand how or why Essie McGuire, who LITERALLY was a Council Analyst, decided to show up unprepared and answered the way that she did.

I think it was advice from General Counsel to admit to as little as possible and attempt to deflect and reframe that MCPS is focused on improving in the future. It was sad.

Then the GC should have shown up with them. Better yet they should have sent notice to the council asking to move the meeting to end of October given sensitive negotiations and provided them an update.

I wonder who General Counsel reports to now that the system doesn't have a COO or a Deputy Superintendent.

It was a year full of sexual assaults and many new teachers had no tenure or protection and data manipulation was rampant. Teachers were let go and admin who did not follow rape reporting protocol were promoted like the Damascus and Gburg incidents.

It's the first I've ever been non renewed and had the system fudge my paperwork to make it look like I quit. If I wanted to quit I would not have been putting in double overtime (unpaid overtime is the way teachers do overtime). This is how they treat teachers.
