I think they mess with new teachers with no protection and we look in from the sidelines as the tenured folks are truly the ones who have protection for being turds because they have set that stattus quo. As long as you have low integrity leaders in central office, none of it matters.

And there seems some type of low-integrity assessment before becoming a leader in central office, where you acknowledge that children, families and teachers are the enemy, not the constituents. As long as you agree to that, you can work in MCPS Central Office.

I think when I talked with mcea they turned around and told admin that I was talking behind their back about the incessant violence that was going on that year and the lack of support and security because the days following I had admin on back amping up my work load. At the time u was the first u last out of the building and was working all weekend long to grade papers and it turned into burnout. Nothing was ever enough for these gym teacher turned admins. They dont nderstand what real teachers go through.

Incompetent people failing upward until they are at the top running the show but when standing next to truly talented teachers you can see as clear as day how incompetent they are which is why they have to blame the teachers as the incompetent ones. Usually we are taking orders so we keep our jobs but we are held accountable and blamed for inflation fraud, student violence, student absence, disrespect, the negative behavior we see all over the news bc admin wont enforce behavior standards or have consequences ( while they ignore instead if report crimes etc. They ruin teachers careers so they can move up a ladder wrung.

Yes such as? They have been the ones that pushed for early community conversations about boundary studies. MS novel studies. Digital balance resolution. If more families actually got involved in their PTAs and MCCPTA (and not just to plan parties or fundraisers) imagine what could be accomplished.

For years MCCPTA has been in closed meetings with MCPS and signs non-disclosure forms and represents parents without ever telling parents.
