Question for someone who knows: is there anything voters can do to actually convince Biden to step aside?

I would've taken them seriously if they had done that with Trump first.

Many of us have felt this way even before Joe selfishly decided to run again….and his being 82 on Election Day!

Take your condescension and shove it.

The primary results beg to differ. You shove it.

Most Democrats thought and think he is too old but that doesn't entitle Marianne Williamson or Dean Phillips to the nomination. The problem is nobody serious wanted to run against Biden. This is his fault for not showing down.

I don't think people understand how the major parties work. No serious contender would challenge a sitting president. They would have zero support from the party. It would be a death knell. The reason nobody mentioned as replacements ran against him is because they'd all love a shot at the presidency.

Exactly. This is all on Joe. He had to announce his retirement to give any other sane democrat a chance.

Joe knew this, and he chose to be selfish.

There is still time for Joe to do the right thing.

He didn't have the mental capacity to choose. He ran because Dems wanted him to, as a way of shutting out Harris from the nomination. Now that the primaries are over, he is no longer useful to Dems and he's being told to step down to make way for their preferred nominee.

+1 dude can take an ass kicking and get back up and carry on like no other.

I guess if by taking an ass kicking you mean whining and blubbering like a toddler. When did it become desirable to be a crying sore loser?

He complains about his treatment, and his supporters agree with him. That's not the same as whining and blubbering. Most people would not be standing after all the assaults. I'm no fan but can certainly appreciate his determination and ability to keep going.

+1 I can see why foreign leaders are cautious when dealing with him. My FIL is 81 years old and a lifelong democrat. He can’t stand republicans. He will verbally spar with anyone who doesn’t like the Clintons. I don’t know how many hours I have spent listening to him rail against the republican party. He has held public office as a democrat.

The thing is, he respects Trump. I could have hit the floor when he started talking about Trump that way. He has never said one good word about a single republican for the 30+ years I have known him. I am still so stunned I don’t say anything about Trump when he talks about him. My spouse and I thought maybe he was getting dementia or something when we first heard him talking that way. He will see Trump on tv and say mmm mm. You don’t want to mess with that man. He will then pause and look into our eyes and repeat that no one should mess with Trump, they don’t know what they are up against, etc. But, he still is a democrat and still doesn’t like republicans. It’s weird.

Women should absolutely mess with trump and they will. Trump has totally disrespected our daughters and our country and we will return the disrespect. A sore loser, a rapist, a crook. Get him out of here.

Lots of women like Trump.

He is a serial rapist.

Even his first wife says that during their divorce proceedings.

Yeah because divorces aren't full of mudslinging.

DP and, oh come on. Stop gaslighting. Numerous women have made complaints against him, he was FOUND GUILTY of sexual assault, he BRAGGED about sexually assaulting women, he also bragged about barging in on unclothed underaged women in their changing room, the disgusting pig even suggested he'd have sex with his own daughter.

Trump is obese, eats nothing but junk food, and doesn't take care of himself, even when he "golfs" he needs a golf cart to haul his fat ass around and doesn't even carry his own golf bag.

Right now, your Atlanta Journal Sucks and I hope it loses money. As for your question about replacing our President, Why would you replace the only hope you have to protect you from the rain of terror he promised. This is why your Newspaper just hit rock bottom with that stupid hate bating statement. Try Jesus!

His sister was 86, so eight years older than Trump is now. And his brother died from the results of a fall.

Signed,

Yes, but Trump has no integrity. What would you rather have, a vegetable brained POTUS or a mentally unfit POTUS with zero integrity? Touch choice I hope we don;t have to make!

I like Biden and want him to stay in the race. His VP is younger and is experienced enough to do the job if need be.

Harris? In an open primary with multiple candidates, she would have come in last place again. But really, the way it’s working out is that Obama and company get to choose the nominee rather than voters. Just like they wanted.
