Hey Karen. Rebut the facts instead of bullying the teachers just stating the truth. |
PP, I’m guessing you aren’t a teacher. So you either have no relation to schools or you’re admin/central office. Which one is it? Because there’s really no way a teacher would defend what’s going on right now. |
My guess is that all these special assignments are propaganda moles that try to paint rosey pictures at the expense of blaming teachers for the many elements of education that have been corrupted in America. Some people are getting rich rich rich. Not so much for teachers who just report on their personal experiences. |
Did you miss the part where this lady said: "Punishment and accountability are incompatible. Punishment is a perverse and ineffective strategy for changing behavior." |
Extra extra read all about it The Bible, hamarabis code, and 5000 years of human history has been doing treating crime incorrectly because mcps chicken head idea of letting criminals run wild was the correct protocol. |
Extra hours of work do not make a difference when it comes to the kids who are clearing classrooms on a weekly basis. I’ve known unmarried child free colleagues put in 12 hour days with no movement on the behavior needle. These children need a therapeutic setting. |
Always the truth. Follow the money. Someone is making a profit on this nonsense. |
Not if they stay in Montgomery County. Cops have their hands tied also. And the justice system favors criminals over victims. |
Not really. Tell that to two MoCo teenage brothers who just got jailed for gang activity and murder: https://moco360.media/2023/10/07/teens-gang-feud-led-to-fatal-shooting-montgomery-county-prosecutors-say/ |
To be sure, 5,000 years of that bullshit wasn’t working particularly well. |
So what do you recommend teachers do? And can you provide specific examples of your idea working within the classroom? How many times have you seen your suggestion work successfully, and at what age group? Have you, yourself, actually tried it? |
Show us a school district where Shalaby's fantasy, laissez-faire model of classroom management is working. ESPECIALLY at the middle and high school level. I'd love to see it. ![]() |
Yep. Eye for and eye. Spare the rod, spoil the child. We need more beatings and hands chopped off. That makes everything all right. |
So you have no real suggestions for teachers and you have no real experience. Got it. |
Precisely. Criticize everything, provide no viable solutions, and run when asked to be accountable. These are unserious people and we have to stop giving them the floor. They are at best, wasting our time, and at worst, advocating for policies that cause more harm than good. |
