
This is not true. Stop spreading lies and fearmongering like it’s your job to recruit Trump voters for 2024. Most of the intended work is about 1) ending disciplinary policies and practices that disproportionate target students of color and 2) improving the social climate at schools which all minority groups (including Asians and Jews) have identified as not acknowledging or respecting their culture. Curriculum overhaul is a constant in MCPS. Where there have been anti-racism audit discussions about changes in curriculum, the goal has been to make it more inclusive. The call to do so have come even from the Asian and Jewish communities. Grading policy overhaul is also frequent in MCPS and separate from curriculum. Seeking to end grading policies that unfairly punish students has been part of MCPS for at least 15 years. No one is arguing that students should all get the same grades. And even if someone did, it wouldn’t require a curriculum change to try to impose that. |
