Tell me about the weirdest person/family in your neighborhood

Then again like 45 minutes later.

Then again 2 hours later. Repeatedly.

OCD.

Was his yacht up on cinder blocks in his front yard? Was he drinking a Mai-thai? Was there a little pink paper umbrella in the drink?

If not this story is kind of lame.

This might be my neighbor too. Corner lot and wildflower meadow planted in the past couple months? We are baffled by it/her.

Based on all the people who think they or their neighbors are the wildflower meadow gardeners being discussed, it sounds like there's a quiet no-lawn revolution budding!

We have a really fat neighbor and I think the same thing re: money. I know she can afford a gym.

Maybe she has a medical issue. Or prefers to spend her money on food.

From our 2nd story we can see into their yard. They regularly host parties and at any given event have 15-20 people in various stages of undress.

Nicest people as they maintain their home and yard, keep to themselves, and aren’t loud or obnoxious. My wife and I would enjoy to go to one of their parties, we’re just not sure how to broach the subject without offending them or appearing creepy.

No one wants to be looking at nude people. Ewwwwwww.

Then don't look.

Are the nudists hot? What do the men look like?

Nudists are pretty much never hot.

I guess pps aren’t big, or even small, environmentalists if they don’t have a clue that people are choosing to have a natural lawn and aren’t just being cheap. How do people so thoroughly not know about small things they and others can do for the environment? It fascinates me. It seems like it would take so much effort not to know about this particular trend…and others. I’ve met people, like in the last decade or so, who assume other people are recycling because they’re cheap and get some sort of payment for it. Like we’re selling our trash. I can give more examples. I know this is totally off topic but I am so baffled by this.

You all are describing weird but harmless. After they found that that serial killer had 300 guns in his house, my husband and I have been wondering about our neighbor who takes on weird projects like rebuilding the staircase n his house. Does he have 300 guns ? A safe room? Who knows?

This doesn't strike me as weird and how do you know he's doing this inside his house? You seem nosey

My neighbor has a printed picture of a tabby cat taped to her front window. She has a "beware of the cat" sign taped up beside it.

I don’t fully understand why but this is SO funny to me

There are certain lights in their house that are almost always on at night, not always but almost always. That had some kind contractor working on the house and we saw him walk inside and then come out a different (side) door. They get packages delivered, almost always the same basic shape and size of cardboard box and they'll be outside on the porch for a few hours and then they're gone. We have heard music coming from inside the house, not loud, but definitely some kind of music.

Have been keeping a closer eye on the neighbors in question. Last two nights they had one light on upstairs and one on downstairs then both were out and only the downstairs one came back on. Also we've seen several deliveries made there. Sometimes they accept the packages at the door and sometimes while they are home they'll sit there on the porch for several hours and then they're gone. Situation with cars is also odd. Sometimes the man will park in front of the house pointing one way, then he switches it, pointing the other way. Not sure if it's some kind of signaling, but definitely unusual.

Maybe you are not so serious but it is just interesting what's going over there. On more than one occasion, there has been audible sounds coming from the house like music or amplified voices. Not loud but you can hear something. It is also a little different the way they approach porch lights. Side porch light on, but not the front one, or front one on and but no side one. Maybe it's not signaling something, but definitely seems a little off.

What you are describing sounds totally normal and mundane. Perhaps you are the weird neighbor? Not knocking it, I’m weird too.
