Maret and former Whittle students?

Right on brand, from what I understand. And that’s why the HoS doesn’t get even a year from me. Your only argument seems to be the equivalent of you ain’t got me on tape.

Hundreds hahahaha I am sure that the administrator could pull my IP address and tell you that (1) I am not the original poster, (2) do not start/nor have started a thread bad-mouthing Maret, and (3) have not posted hundreds of times about Maret or any other school. My kid is at Maret. Last thing I want is to bash the school. I am presenting our perspective.

Every school, like every job, has its plusses and minuses. I question Maret's Whittle choice. I am not on the Board. I was not on the committee choosing the candidates. I merely am a little parent who simply attended the meetings. I don't like the choice. I don't know what went on behind the scenes. Objectively, and taking a step back, it seems strange that ANY school would take a chance on Dennis given what happened at Whittle. It's that simple. We're giving it a year.

Back in my day, my independent school picked a new HoS after a very sudden departure of the old HoS (he died). The parents liked the guy, found him personable, but he had no business leading the school. He left after two years. The school is still standing today and doing quite well, so a strong school will manage through even terrible leaders. Let's just see if Maret is strong. I hope it is. My kid is there, and I hate to move him. But, I will if I need to do so

I take a lot of time away from these boards as they drive me bonkers. I actually only found my way back b/c my kid told me he had heard about DCUM chatter re Maret. Now I remember why I stay away. Good night. I'm done.

- Signed. Maret parent with happy kid, but parent who never would have picked Dennis.

You should pull your kid and leave the school instead of wasting your time posting multiple threads. Maybe you can find a HOS who you would 💕 at another school.

Hard to get in everywhere.

Wow, I suspect the obnoxious people posting are linked to or maybe the HoS. How else to explain the relentless attempts to shut this down in such a patronizing and aggressive manner?

Oof, Maret is in for a ride and such a great school doesn’t deserve that.

Anyone have experience or tips for the best way to get the Board to act based on DCUM posts? Surely this isn’t the first time anonymous rumors have grown so loud that action is needed from a school’s board asap.

No rational Board is going to act based on this drivel. But if you want voice your concern like a grown up, pick the up the phone or send an email. The trustees are not anonymous, unlike everyone here.

Why would they talk to someone who has no connection to the school?

But it's way more fun to just troll anonymously

To me this is a definitive statement (a mic drop). Except in most jobs or if one of our children showed a commensurate lack of judgment and integrity while pending a job or college offer, they wouldn’t get another chance or a year. I really don’t see why this is even up for debate, unless there are special interest at play? It’s an absurd choice not to revisit given all that’s transpired since it was made.

Could the HoS or their agent really be trolling here? The person seems to have read all the Whittle threads and to know that no one called the Board under their real name?! It’s weird and super aggressive.

He did tweet in effect for everyone to better be quiet when he rarely tweets, just as the Whittle collapse.

Massively creepy and icky in my opinion

Yeah, that tweet that said that make sure before you speak that what you're saying is true and kind really is the smoking gun. Cracked the case right there
Anonymous
That’s not actually what he said. He said “nice” and then appended some tripe to cover the tracks. Tweets 3 times a year and chooses to tweet THAT THEN?
Anyway, enjoy him, I suspect you’re related

Still creepy too
