This website is boring. I'll return to Yahoo News now. Oh wait... They got rid of comments on controversial articles. |
Of course it is. Middle school kids know exactly what they are doing |
It’s *obviously* not a crime. There is zero evidence of crime. You don’t report non-crimes to the police. False reports ARE crimes. This is a school discipline issue. |
It doesn't have to be a crime. Read the linked document. It specifically says hate-bias incidents must be reported to the police. If you don't like that, feel free to submit testimony at the next BOE meeting. |
| Did they fire the principal yet? |
Yeah I read that - that is why it’s so absurd. That was the whole point. And reporting a non-crime is not something I would do, principal or not. The other point is that the principal is certainly not reporting ALL “hate-bias” incidents. Just the ones by white kids. Falsely reporting someone to the police - I hope these kids parents sue MCPS and the school. |

They should all be permanently expelled. |
Are they calling the police every time the N-word or fgt gets thrown around? What is the definition of an incident? |
But the girl who choked a boy half her size on the school bus doesn’t get expelled? That’s awesome. |
For doing her job? LOL |
Please, explain how it is justified to report non-crimes to the police, in your world view. |
How about the Montgomery County Police Department's world view? https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/pol/howdoI/report-a-hate-bias-incident.html |
I am just so thrilled that MCPS kids actually know how to use google docs, know how to make slides, know how to read and write. Latinx population you said? I am seeing this as a sign that achievement gap is being narrowed. |
| Obviously, this should go on their permanent record in transcripts. Colleges would want to know about this if they do apply to colleges. |
