Capital Orange Parents - If you could do it all over again

How much influence does JB have in this process? Shouldn’t ability speak for itself and the college coaches approach who they feel is best for their team? Sorry if this question is naive.

It has nothing to do with JB. It has everything to do with college coaches. The coaches are reaching out to grab the blue players first, that’s why they go first

However, there were many orange players who committed WAY before blue players did. Many orange players go early, like in September,

Also, many orange players go to D3 schools, especially the NESAC schools, and they commit very late in the process.

It had less to do with JB, and more about the process

this is a good explanation and i think outsiders forget that many girls are looking at high academic d3 schools that just do things later... although after years on this board i still dont understand why they do things so much later

I’m not sure what people are arguing about. However, looking at CLC Orange rosters it looks like a mixed bag. So I guess a good number of players go elsewhere for A teams and you can see that with DMV players on MD A team rosters.
And as long as college coaches are going to emphasize club team records and rankings, this is what we're going to get. When they start looking for individual players' skills to add to their team, times will change. But who knows when that will be?

This may be a shock to all of you, but college coach don’t ever look at a clubs rankings, EVER.

Now, I’m sure you’re going to ask, how do you know this. Well, that is because they don’t cate about how well a team does. They are looking for individuals. Plus, well, I have an insider track, without giving too much away

This is such BS to protect the clubs. They might not look at the rankings but they sure know who the best teams are because those teams are usually at the fields closest to eachother and convenient for he coaches (AKA golden triangle).

100%...your team just needs to be in one of the top couple brackets.

Too late, you have given away plenty. And an agenda to boot.

What happened to Capital Orange 2027 at LLL? They lost all of their games (three of the
badly by several goals) after having a perfect record in the fall. Were there girls missing? Did they lose players to Blue or to another club?

Yes definitely! And yes the 2028 Dads are now here.....

First day 2nd goalie was given to 2025 Orange. You need 2 goalies.
2nd coach who did subbing moved away mid winter and she was acutely aware of team dynamics and put certain best matches in together. Took awhile for that to sort itself out. Existing coach is awesome and just needs to re-tool a bit. Girls LOVE her.
Team hadn’t played together since fall. It showed.
They are a great time and will rise again. Girls are doing the work. They will come together.

Most teams haven’t played together since fall, but didn’t they practice together before the tournament?

NESCACs have rules in place around when offers can be made. July 1st is the first day. It is because of academic expectations. Admission offices require junior year grades as well as a list of classes prospects are registered for senior year.

Thanks for this. Very impressive than that 13 girls from the 25 Orange team are committed already. Many more to follow on July 1 I’m sure.

Good example of why Orange is still the best option available locally if you do not make Blue.

Well yes. Notable difference in talent.

I would argue that once the July 1st DIII commitments are announced it will look even better. Some kids will take D1 over a better academic institution. Kudos to the ones waiting it out and choosing the better school.

A consolation prize, but a good one.
