I just have to laugh at all pps here thinking they "choose" democracy! Americans never had any kind of "democracy" you have a two-party system that works for large corporations that pay them to put in laws that benefit the money makers, not the people.

I am just here to say that many Ukrainians share the sentiment of the PP who says all Russians are bad and they would never ever deal with one. It’s not a one off troll who posts here. Many people express this on their social media.

Can someone explain to me why there are comments on youtube videos from people claiming they are Ukrainian and ashamed of the Ukrainian government? I asked them on youtube too, hoping they will answer.
Are they actually Russian trolls? Why are they posting in comments about the invasion that they are embarrassed by their own government? What the heck?

Would this xenophobia be acceptable if China invaded Taiwan? A lot of WASPs around here seem to relish the opportunity to discriminate against non Aryan looking white people. I guess since it’s not socially acceptable to be bigoted against Blacks, Asians and Hispanics they need a healthy release valve for all their pent up bigotry and are taking it out on Slavs.

Xenophobia, like all phobias, is an irrational fear. The naZis in Russia have already threatened to wipe half the globe with nuclear weapons. In this case the fear is perfectly rational.

So how does that work? If you meet a Russian-American, they have to introduce themselves as follows: “Hi, I’m Aleksey and I hate Putin”? And if they don’t, you’re suspicious?
