University of Florida - who’s in and major / stats?

And with 16% of students out of state in last years freshman class, it’s a tough entrance. And the fact it’s made itself into the top 28 of 3,200 public and private schools and top 5 of 1,600 public schools is impressive. Way to go Gator Class of 2026!

Such a silly argument here, not really worth defending

Well said, a bit of jealousy, likely by one poster. Especially since most of the counterpoints are hilarious. Likely a SEC rival, or wanna be. The facts are clear. Top. 5.

This.

No where near Berkeley, Michigan, or UCLA in comparable disciplines.

This is getting weird

It’s not weird. It’s just proving a point that being a so called top 5 State university doesn’t mean much when the differences are that great.

All the top companies recruit from UF for undergrad business. That's ultimately what matters. [/quote

FO MO or BO. There is a difference.

And there you have it, folks.

UF is not a stong target school.
Probably good in the South East region.

I do find it comical the lengths some are going to disprove it is a T5. Or, likely just one bitter Bama fan. Is that you, Coach Saben?

+1 (LOL)

You obviously haven’t a clue what a target school is and which schools are non targets.

Congrats - forgot about UF but it’s a Top 5 public university, ranked with UCLA, UC Berkeley, Michigan, UVA, and UNC (tied).

It’s ranked #5 for public schools. But the 5th ranked public isn’t in the same league as the top three. This isn’t HYPSM. Berkeley, Michigan and UCLA are in a league of their own. Then comes UVA, UNC, UF.

Yeah, according to USNAWR, your order is close to right. But as PP says, it’s really: UCLA #20, Berkeley #22, Michigan #23, UVA #25, UF # 28, UNC #28 (tied). Are you sayin there is a huge cap between #23 and #28?? Not from an admissions perspective as these schools are so hard to get into…they don’t call
It the Top 3 for that very reason!

I never heard of T5 public schools. Is this a new thing? I know the greats publics are UCLA, Berkeley, Michigan, and UVA.

Really, not UNC?? Imposter alert (Bama fan)

Nobody with a modicum of intelligence thinks Berkeley and Florida are peer schools. Same goes for UCLA, Michigan, and perhaps UVA.

At least you are persistent. But isn’t it dark outside and you need to run off to your cozy spot under the bridge??

I can see UNC being a peer of UF. They both are overwhelming loaded with instate undergraduates.

Seriously, do you Florida boosters actually think your regional school is in the same league as world famous Berkeley?

UF is a top 5 public university. That is all folks are saying. Folks are sharing their excitement that their kid is going to a great school, with great acedemics, powerhouse sports, highly ranked campus community, in great weather (sorry Michigan). Ranked #28 in nation out of 4000 schools. Very impressive, very distinctly to pull an admit. What more are you asking or seeking here? Do we need to move this to another category, as your obsession is getting off topic

What is your problem? You sound insane?

Let people celebrate their UF admission.

Why do you knock both UNC and UF with that negative tone? There is more to your angst on this topic. Let me say it again, UF is a top 5 ranked public university. They are #28 amongst all of the universities in the US. They are highly competitive, and increasingly so each year for the last 10 years. Few get accepted, even fewer from out of state. Again, highly competing and very tough to get into. 😂
