Since you used the word “modicum,” I guess you’re right. We bow down to your wisdom.

I know, right?!

Lots of bridge dwellers here… they (or maybe it’s a single troll) are trying to argue why UF does not belong in the top 5, or that this ranking of 6 schools (UNC & UF are tied) should have several tiers . All 6 schools are listed on US News (the standard ranking for schools in general) between 20 - 28. You heard right: tiers! More like tears as you need to squint to see any huge gaps

Just like their are technically tiers between the top 1% of earners - $600k is different than $2M, being in the top 1% of schools (#28 of 3200+ private and public schools and universities in US), is where folks dream to be. There’s a DRAMATIC difference between $1M per year and the median wage earner. So, I see both sides. But, geez - admission to Florida is an incredible accomplishment these days - we all want to be in that exclusive club. A #28 amongst all public and private schools, #5 amongst a very impressive and exclusive list of publics. Wow.

I am not going to read 17 pages in the hope to learn how they improved their rating so substantially over the years, but it would be interesting to know.

Quite an impressive feat.

Let’s just hope DeSantis doesn’t blow it.

The legislature has actually made a concerted effort to improve education in the state, and he is leading the charge. Their high schools are climbing and we now in top 5 or 6 in country. Politics aside (as I know you are baiting us here), they are doing what other states have failed to do. Action is far better than just words. UF is also leading the charge on Artificial Intelligence, so they will continue to be highly relevant for years to come.

I vision a hobbit wearing a Alabama tee squinting on a tiny screen under a bridge - ha!

Don’t read, it is 16 pages of nonsense.

Wish NY had done everything FL did.

What a bunch of unhinged weirdos obsessing and splitting hairs over US News and World Report. Get a grip, you losers. I feel sorry for your kids and hope for their sakes they go to whatever college is as far away from you as humanly possible. Prayers they stay there, free from certain emotional and psychological abuse at the hands of nazi parents who join online forums such as this. Poor things.

Also-
Go Gators.

Yeah, I wouldn’t use that phrase. It’s racist.

Stop. Everyone says everything is racist these days.

This. Chill out. Not everything is racist.

Can’t put politics aside when Desantis requires teachers and students to identify their own political party? And she Desantis restricts the free speech of Florida’s university profs.
