im realizing more and more that the 2011s all around are a bunch if sideline crazies. Myself included. DMV won the lottery with us.

This is the absolute truth - what’s with 2011 parents in this area. They are the worst.

u mean was a scape goat for fvu.

Is he really the scapegoat when this is the 2nd year in a row of him quitting mid-year. Seems like more of a trend with this guy.

There's been a lot of drama/changes in the DMV in the last few years especially at the 2 clubs he was with (NVA and FXU) but prior to that he was with MYS for many years so I will chalk it up to issues outside of his coaching and give him a chance if he ends up with my kids team.
hi db. Prove em wrong on the pitch. And dont be so trusting of the TDs and speak up for yourself. And be punctual.

You got this!!!

Presumably DB is a known quantity to PA and NM as they are all ex-MYS. The DB "issues" discussed in the past few pages, to the extent true, happened post-MYS. Hopefully we get the rebooted MYS version of DB.
yup. His previous two stops he was balancing new family with overbearing TDs and Overzealous parents. He should flourish w/on all of that pressure. FXU and NVA parents will have to find something else to be upset with or take their grievances up with CW and/or PL. if they have the heart too

Come on, DB. These clubs are selling a product to their costumers. You weren’t a good steward of that product which is why the TDs had to get involved. We wish you all the best in your new role but we hope you tighten things up and at least complete a full season.
im sure he left NVA because of the GA debacle. Can’t speak for FVU. But he seemed surprised as the rest of us.

I thought he left NVA because everyone complained about him.

Are you sure he "left" NVA and wasn't told to leave...
NVA went full GA. Didn’t tell coach. Coach got new job that worked out back in ecnl. NVA said its a COI and you have to go. Life goes on.

But the new ECNL coaching gig had basic credentials required that he did not have.

To be honest, his worst transgression haven't even be revealed on this board... but yes he routinely did not show up for practices that he was supposed to be at, and that's a fact!

So the kids just milled around and no adult was there to supervise?

He was recruiting kids to move to NVA and making them promises for GA glory. He was planning on staying until other issues came up and was told to go.

quite the opposite. The conflict of interest w him heading to his new ecnl home actually did him in. The promises made werent for GA. And that was the problem. I think the guy will be fine with GFR. Less pressure and crazy vibes. Team will flourish as his older younger teams have.

This is hilarious. The guy clearly couldn’t cut it on the national level and doesn’t want to travel. Wish him the best in his new (regional) role.

It’s been well documented over the years that he misses practices, shows up late, etc. If you were seeking to hire an employee and their reference checks said this about an employee, would you hire them, no. Imagine this was a teacher or someone who mentors young kids, absolutely not. Go to GFR if you like him this much. I am just glad that clubs are filtering him out, which gives me some hope that ECNL and GA prioritize good quality coaches. Lot’s to be done to completely shuffle the deck, but Ill take the case by case basis.

The vrsc thread is talking mergers w GFR. Stirring pots or is someone making an ecnl push?

Its a huge liability issue to have a bunch of kids at a field unsupervised by an adult. He wasn't late, he just didn't show up. At all. That's completely differently then kids getting warmed up when a coach is stuck in traffic.

It sounds more like he WOULDN'T travel. There wasn't any thing physically preventing him from being able to travel.

he will probably have one last chance U not to do that at GFR.

Its messed up but he will be lacking top cover at GFR. I think.
