Those clubs aren't even near each other so how are they your only two choices?

Because there are people on this forum who are obsessed with valor bashing and bringing it into every forum. A lot of these people have left years ago but can't stop looking over their shoulder for whatever reason.

While that is true, nike and sully are the same distance from my house. Herndon and AC milan seem worse than both of the clubs mentioned. So just trying to find out information.

People seem to like Burke travel. Herndon is trying to rebuild their girls side so maybe they would assign strong coaches. Agree that AC milan and valor just have too many negatives. Ac milan still doesnt have a functioning website!

What about Vienna?

These coaches that got let go only joined this past year. GFR girls have been doing great for years. Nearly all RL teams ranked near the top. They’ll continue to be fine.

Even though those coaches were only with GFR a year they were still top tier coaches and it'll be hard to recruit new players or even retain players at a club with no real directors, no travel tryouts scheduled and 3 interim directors who have never run a club before. Especially with GA teams right next door in McLean....

This is my concern. No tryout schedule, no coaching slate…

agreed. no tryouts when most (all high tier) clubs have already sent offers to players. my daughters team at another club has already had team meetings for the 2025/26 season with coaches and directors.

RL is great unless any of those girls want to play in college. NM could have brought that to GFR even with RL because of his connections.

People need to stop with this talk of "connections" and he/she can get them to a college/university. With the transfer portal, many coaches aren't even looking at 17/18 year old HS seniors. They want/need to win now and they're picking and poaching players from other colleges.
If your kid is good enough, they'll make it to a college somewhere whether the coaching director (who never attends anyone's practice but his friend's) has connections or not.

Talk about development and which coach is actually out there teaching and coaching, not who can get your player to a college, the only person that can get your player to a college and scholarship is that player.

All of Nadir’s coaches were let go (Nadir, Matt, Tina, Jimmy, Jesus) and there was no offer from GFR to keep them. Parents and kids are pretty upset. They are assigning interim coaches tonight. This is all so abrupt and crazy.

My kid's year at Valor we had two practices a week at valor's private fields way out by the manassas battlefield. That drive with rush hour traffic on lee highway sucked.

Well, yeah, he could have...but he didn't.
