Curious to how she will teach other coaches on methodology etc. if you like winning at the cost of your kid being yelled at and yanked out of the game, she will be great for you. If you want development and teaching - look somewhere else. She was protected for years at GFR bc of her relationships with Radovan and Richard.

Zero qualifications. She's been a problem at GFR for years. TSJ is a sinking ship so great place for her to land.

Wasn’t the 2014 and 2015 girls teams #1 when she coached them? Seems like pretty good qualifications.

Winning games with 9 y.o. kids is not the same thing as teaching them to play soccer. As someone just said in another thread, a decent goalie and a couple aggressive athletic kids will get you a lot of W’s at that age. Playing that way doesn’t necessarily develop all the kids on the team to be effective at older ages though. Too much focus on winning at that age can in fact be counterproductive to development.

True. She has a lot of success at that age because her only focus is winning. Until NM, ML, JG, etc came to GFR there was a real issue with the U11-U13 teams struggling after aging out of FA's teams and not being able to get away with the same aggressive kick and run she teaches.

Thanks for the update NM. You're so awesome.

No clue why GFR gave her the "Age Group Director" title after the Riverbend circus. Are the parents that were willing to go along with that going along for the TSJ ride now?

girl, she resigned yesterday. give gfr a second to get some messaging out. it's friggin march 4th, the expectation of a coaching slate for next year within 24 hours of a coach resigning is insane. she is staying for the spring. i am sure gfr is going to find a suitable replacement and honestly you're probably getting an upgrade no matter what.

SHE should have told parebts. I have older kids so no skin in the game but know parents feel a little slighted

This is laughable. In the soccer world or elsewhere you can’t expect resignation decisions to be broadcast before it is handled within the organization between the employee and employer. I do agree there should have been a communication shortly after with the families - but if it has only been 24 hrs, give it another day or two before getting all riled up.

Anyone that willingly takes their DD to TSJ should be referred to child protective services. It might be the worst-performing GA club in the country with management to match.

They don't even have GA anymore. They got demoted to Aspire. SO yeah, anyone taking their kid from a top RL program to a club with Aspire is making questionable decisions.

TSJ and GFR don't have pathways. So you're quibbling over who has the better 2 tier option?

I am not quibbling over that at all b/c I know if my kid is good enough to play national level I can take them to a tryout/ID session and I don't need a "pathway" for that. I am pointing out that TSJ is a mess and GFR has a great girls program. I also think RL is superior to Aspire for girls so yeah, I guess if you want to argue 2nd tier.....we can do that.

You are literally hammering a woman that is trying to start a new job over and over again. And your comment was, "They [TSJ] don't even have GA anymore." If she did your kid wrong (which I seriously doubt) then move on, you got your great coaches now. Things are going to be wonderful for you and you DD.

I think we're hammering TSJ not FA.

After you delete some of the previous posts you can pretend that’s true.

I am not hammering FA. I am supporting GFR encouraging her to move on, I think it's best for both GFR and FA that this happened. But I'm not taking my kid to TSJ!

GFR had a good, not great, girls program but it is being gutted by players and coaches moving on and will be a shell of itself in September.

We shall see. Plenty of good players and good coaches staying.

People said the same thing last spring and it turned out to be wishful thinking by a handful of haters.
