Your kid getting a spot without attending the tryout goes to show you how many people were at tryouts or what the level was.
Making an offer to someone who wasn’t present takes it to the next level, if you registered to tryout you get a spot 😂😂

tryouts were cancelled due to weather. Then we have 2 tournament weekends. They are using coach feedback to determine rosters is what I was told. And ps: nobody on yiunger teams last 2 years tried out either- coaches offered spots.

As long as you are cutting them a check, your kid won't be cut.

Neither of my kids have ever played for GFR. Last year I signed them up for tryouts but we didn’t go…they both still got an offer. This year I again signed them up but they were cancelled, no offer. Progress on the part of GFR LOL.

If you're outside of GFR you might still get an offer. I was told they were rolling them out to GFR players first and then outside players will either get an invite to an ID session (aka a regular practice or an offer.
