Will enjoy watching the Concorde District winner beat Battlefield in the championship. |
Already 1-0 against a Concorde District team. Ready for the next. |

Try Oakton or Madison... |
Centreville should be an solid favorite next week when they take on the #1 seed from Liberty District --winner of Yorktown and Langley. They already beat Yorktown 15-9 earlier this season.
1) Centreville should dominate the draws (#22, #8, #2) against either team as they did earlier in the season against Yorktown. Strong trio of players and 3rd best draw team in Concorde district. 2) Centreville has the 5th best offense (GPG in District play) in the Concorde just behind Westfield HS at 4th. But Liberty champion will have a hard time stopping #22 who had at least 6 goals against Yorktown in the first meeting. Yorktown or Langley will have to limit above to keep the game close. |
More Centerville talk...really? "5th best offense in the Concorde"; "3rd best draw team"... Come on. They haven't won a game against a contender yet--not even Battlefield. Please. Look forward to watching #22 in college, but wake me up when they actually beat somebody in the top 4. |
Oakton and Madison clearly top two. Battlefield versus South Lakes would be a great game for 3rd best team out of Concorde. |
Not associated with Battlefield or Oakton. Iām sure both are good teams. It seems like the dislike for these programs is coming from the same few individuals. Just a suggestion for posters from both teams, act like youāve been here before. Itās exciting to be in the positions you are in but you are ruining the moment by chirping too much. Play it on the field. There are several VA programs that have built dynasties over the past 4-5 years. And could certainly make an argument for having a team that may be considered one of the best over the past 20 years. But we donāt hear from them on this board. They just go about their business. Iād take a page from their playbooks, enjoy the positions you are in, and let play on the field do the talking. |
I think you mean Centreville posters. |
Defending a team when there are trolls on here that bring them up out of the blue to say they hate them⦠isnāt trying to chirp. |
Exactly this. Whatās the point of this? Itās unproductive and trying to create unnecessary drama. |
Latest projections from LAX Math -- probability of winning state championship. Will update after District Title games.
1) Battlefield 36% -- take a beating on this board but fully expect a close championship game 2) Oakton 20% -- still looks too low 3) Robinson 8.5% 4) Centreville 8.0% -- math algorithm likes the Wildcats as a top 4 team 5) Champe 8.0% -- I assume this jumped after OT loss to Battlefield 6) Madison 6.5% 7) South Lakes 3.5% 8) Woodson 2.5% 9) Yorktown 2.5% -- Spring 2022 State Champion 10) West Potomac 2.0% |
You probably need to expand your thinking a bit. It was pointing out how fickle and mean this thread. It moves on to hating different teams - a month ago Battlefield, yesterday Oakton and today Centerville. I had assumed the people on this thread, like you, could draw conclusions. I apologize. |
This algorithm is garbage. Madison beat Robinson and Centreville. And Champe? |
I assume the only reason Battlefield is so high is their glide path to the final, otherwise it makes zero sense. Battlefieldās poor SOS should have them no better than 4th most likely to win it. Agree that Oakton should be the favorite at this point, very strong SOS and undefeated. If only one per region went to states, I could see Concordeās relative strength decreasing the odds for any team moving on from the region, but two teams come out of each region. |
