This +1,000,000 The Anti Maret people are all like, “this is about the agreement, not Maret.” And then they start slinging handfuls of every mud imaginable to see if it sticks. It’s embarrassing for them, or at least it should be. They should at least sign their names to all their crazy because I’m sure they’d never say any of this out loud in front of others. |
I guess you didn’t listen to the public Council hearing? |
I can't believe Bowser publicly admitted support for a plan that so many voters oppose. It is such a clear example of what can go wrong when goverment leaders don't follow laws or act against the best interest of the people who elected them. She is just as bad as Evans.
Does this mean that parents need to organize a lawsuit or a protest. |
Don't forget to sign the petition. Maybe if a lot more people sign, Bowswer may change her mind. |
Right. Names on petitions and not dollars for campaigns make the minds of politicians. Right. |
I can’t speak for others (particularly the imaginary people to which imaginary positions above may be attributed), but I’d be very happy to participate in a conversation with the Maret leadership and community about their conduct. Please feel free to organize this. In the meantime, I’d recommend not complaining about people posting anonymously to a forum that exists for that express purpose. |
The next move is probably the Council’s. They could presumably request an investigation and probably could even cancel the extension (which doesn’t go into force until next year). Elissa Silverman et al. probably have a plan, but they haven’t divulged it yet. Protests - particularly if they became a regular thing - could only help move things along. The last resort would be a lawsuit. Councilmember Robert White seems to think that is where this will end up. It’s also feasible that related information could come out through the FBI investigation of Jack Evans. There are media reports that they have been looking at his son’s computer, so it’s not a stretch to suggest that this deal could well be within the scope of the investigation. |

Feel free to post your name and contact information on this page and perhaps they will contact you? |
There is a petition. Our names - all 2,753 of them - are there. |
Well, that petition is already based on fake news and biased language so that makes the petition null. Nice try, though. |
All the more reason to convene that conversation. In the meantime, help us solve the mystery that is perplexing many of us here by substantiating the claim that the city was obligated to extend the agreement if Maret held up its side of the bargain (because the text of the 2009 agreement says nothing of the sort). |
So sleazy. And now the stink of it is on Maret, too. |
No, you just want it to be so you can continue your slander. |
