Wonder if the person was hired or acted independently.

Praying for them - the whole thing is horrifying.

That's what makes it seem unlikely it was someone who had been to that house before.

Or just someone very inexperienced. Had a backpack full of supplies but for some reason didn't think about the camera until too late.

Shoes tell a lot about a person. But I can't see any detail. What are you seeing? Materials, style etc?

The expert said if LE is at all suspicious, they usually will get a search warrant, instead of relying on a consensual search, because it holds up better later in court.

You can infer from this that since the search of daughter Annie's house was consensual, that LE isn't highly suspicious of her or her husband the "SIL".

She was given a week to clean up the house. Of course she’d say yes to the search. That is not true that a warrant is needed if you’re suspicious. Remember Scott Peterson consensually allowed a search and that’s when the cops noted the mop on the kitchen floor which he explained as his 9 month pregnant wife mopping before Christmas guests arrived.

This. They were given a week to clean up their mother's house, too.

Is anyone searching the surrounding area? It IS possible she wandered off and died in the desert right? Are there not foot prints? Car tracks? Nothing but this seemingly bogus kidnapping theory to pursue?

I’m a nobody but I have a system that is much more precise than that - it at least would be able to tell me the exact time a person was on my driveway; what time they were at the door; and what time the door was opened, with supporting video that goes to an app.

+1 She did not have enough supports in place for someone of her age and health issues living alone on that property. .

Even if true, what does that have to do with her being kidnapped??? The elderly don't get support to deter kidnappers, as far as I know.

All this says is nobody should sleep alone. That's not really practical to prevent this type of completely bizarre and unusual crime.

Having a strong, healthy caregiver or companion who's mobile without a cane can do much to help when a break-in occurs or prevent one from happening. .

Caregivers are paid next to nothing. You cannot expect them to body guards.

They can call 911. They can run faster. They can make sure alarm is on. Two people better than one.

You can’t force someone to live with someone if they don’t want to. Nancy is not incompetent.

Yes, you can. The real issue is too few Americans want an elderly parent to move in with their family. It’s easier for them to be out of sight out of mind…until predictably, tragedy happens.

If it turns out the sister and her husband/partner did this, then I can assure you she was not better off living with them.

LOL

Yes, this seems likely. Tucson is like 30 minutes from Mexico where I personally know people who have been kidnapped.

me too. Not Tucson but my mom grew up in a nearby border town. Nowadays the kidnapping victims have ties to cartels but there are still cases where it randomly happens. It's never some complex plan either. Just some lower rank members who think they can pull a fast one.

Is it typically done through a home break in though? I always thought it typically happened when you were somewhat isolated or driving.

I think it's done however they see an easy opportunity. So if they knew she was home alone and it was an easy house to break into and escape from based on where it sits, there you go.

Yeah they will monitor the victims for awhile. The kidnapping that i know happened at their house. It was the wife of a local store owner who was home alone. He paid the ransom and she was thankfully released. I will say people like that aren't playing the "are they/arent they alive" game. The store owner spoke to his wife so he knew she wasn't dead. I am not sold on the cartel theory but just wanted people to know it does happen.

I’m not getting the manicured brows thing that y’all are saying. They look covered by the mask in each picture.

Agree, the seam at the edge of the mask is covering the brows.

Sounds like Nancy was a great mother.

She thought she was having a wholesome dinner and family game night.

Haunted? What a drama queen.

Well, one IS reminded of Rasputin. Just sayin’.

Just say less. You've said enough.

Huh? We need MORE posters like that. I bet you don't even know who Rasputin is PP.

Rasputin poster -- you are appreciated!

+1 same question

Seems very odd

Is there a trail of the blood splatter down the driveway or is it just at the door. Can’t imagine him dragging a woman who can’t walk fast down the road or into a car, no screaming was heard?

Think for yourself.

I’ve said upthread one of the most suspicious things about this case is his sympathy for SG. He spews hate and accusations against everyone who doesn’t support him. Why on earth is he expressing support or sympathy for SG? That’s what you should be asking.
No, I don’t think he’s behind this but I do think his reaction is not at all in line with the his brand.

Because Savannah Guthrie helped him get elected. This post will be deleted, because her stans are bullies and flag all posts that they perceive to be negative about her -- but look back at her interview with Hillary Clinton during the first go-round. "Ask her. You'll see."
