I feel like they’ve been the same every year with this coaching staff. I don’t see how they’ve gotten better year over year

Think about their competition in Oakton and Madison.

Centreville isnt only facing the athletic hurdle, they also face the mental block of beating those two teams.

Even though they havent cut into the top two seeds in the district, they are marginally getting better in every game. You have to look at the full picture of what the coach has taken over and I bet you the Oakton and Madison coaches agree.

Give Centreville’s coach a team with 12 club players and I think it would be a different story.

Let's not forget South Lakes' coaches. They've taken a team that was not on anyone's radar and with no D1 or D3 commits to finish third going into Districts with competitive games against the top two.

I agree. South lakes is on the same path as Centreville… getting better every year and helping to strengthen the district. Making them more of a power house

Thats the beauty of the concord district… a team like Westfield beating Madison shows how strong the teams are from top to bottom

Everyone gets all up in arms about coaching.

Face the facts - if your kid plays for a coach at Oakton, Madison, Centreville, Battlefield, South Lakes, Robinson or Yorktown, you are lucky.

Hop off your high horse and congratulate the team for competing with the top teams in the state. Its high school lacrosse, anyone of the top schools could win if they are on that day.

Thats what happens when you play in the best conference. The team learns to work and continues to make strides against out of conference opponents

A good win versus a good competitor. Hopefully they can pull out a 2nd win against a good Madison team. Hard to beat good teams twice and some times three times

What is really a sad state is all the Centerville parents yelling put downs at Oakton players during the game. Zero class!!!! What demented state of mind somehow thinks that is the thing to do during a high school lacrosse game? To quote Centerville #22 (said to the ref), “What the Hell Dude.”
