Yeah. It's sad that this age group is so heavily impacted by inflation. Yet, Biden still keeps spending.............

Not really... this generation will continue to vote for him.

Cool (old) profile on a Bowie family. It can be done!

Disingenuous. Seriously it keeps me off they received free cars free furniture and because they have so many children their kids qualify for need-based aid. They have their own business for however many years and wee able to write off expenses.

Family gives them clothes gifts and money towards college. The church and youth group did a majority of their demolition. They bought a house in Bowie for 150k. I live in Bowie and the houses that they're talking about are now close to 500k.

Yes they made good decisions but nothing is in a vacuum and I'm tired of people acting as if if you just save your money you'll be fine. I have an old car it's paid off I didn't get gifted a car. We don't have family giving us money randomly. Or dropping off bikes or clothes or shoes.

They pay no taxes.

They’re producing future educated workers & should be rewarded for that via tax incentives, and are. You could’ve had a lot of kids or started a business if doing those things is so fun & easy.

All of their kids went to community college, majored in practical fields & commuted to state schools. DCUMers are too status-obsessed to do that!

I am an immigrant and I received my graduated degree in US for free. Now two of my children are getting free education in the top US schools. There are plenty of free colleges around US.

Also, a $25k/year grad degree salary /= “free”

DCUM is the land of $500k HHI “middle class” families. Nobody on here has student loans.

I do. And my HHI is $228K.

Your degree & loans weren’t worth it, then.

Canada with a novel idea. This ought to be retroactive too instead of young people trapped in usury for their entire adult life.

This isn't a novel idea. It's been suggested many times, by many people, all over the place, including here.

The interest rate on federal loans is absurdly high, and although I'm opposed to forgiveness, allowing rates to move down while maintaining federal benefits is a reasonable compromise.
