The doorknob seems consistent. Mayyyybe the walls are questionable but that's an easy continuity error depending on the set. And when he asked "where is..." and the answer is "already in there"...remember that this scene is from when we didn't even know Rebecca was in the room, so they were holding back on even the fact that Nicky was there.

I'm all for a conspiracy theory but no matter how many times I watch it I can't see it another way.

+1 for me. I see young Randall in a hospital room saying hi to Mom, and old Randall in the cabin(? - I'm assuming it is) saying hi to his dying Mom.

Same!

Two flash forwards

Flash forward 1: season 3 ep18
I see Randall with a lot of gray hair when he greets Toby and in the kitchen, get up and head to the bedroom. I then see a flashback with young Randall in the hospital. Back at the cabin, when he tells Rebecca he’s there I see no gray hair.

Flash forward 2: season 4 ep18

Kevin walks in, Randall, no gray hair and Rebecca in the background.

Can you stop with this please? You are ruining this thread for the rest of us, just so you can maybe feel smart later. (And I don't think your theory is going to pay out, for the record.)

DP. Do you really think there is only one pp who has noticed this? You just don’t agree, which is fine, but it is hardly “ruining” the thread.

This is what is bothering me. WHERE ARE THEY?!?!

I read a comment and someone mentioned that they read the girls couldn’t be on the show because since the wedding is 5 years in the future they couldn’t have themselves play their future selves or couldn’t have the adult versions play that age either.

I thought that might be the case. But I feel like TIU has "aged" every other character so well that they could have made it work, even if they were just in the background.

No, this excuse doesn't fly for the girls, at least Tess and Deja - they have already been used in fast-forward sequences at the cabin. The current actresses definitely could have been at the wedding. The only one who might not have worked age-wise was Annie, and they could have come up with some excuse for why she was absent.

Honestly, it was just lazy writing to not at least mention them at the wedding.

Randall did mention his daughters were going to be his security at the wedding.

I’m wondering if the Pearson daughters were left out of this wedding because they were prominent in the first Kate wedding. The focus was more on Kevin and his brood this time around.

I’m looking forward to learning about Miguel’s life and what happened with his first marriage and kids.

Entertaining but kind of shallow. I hope the rest is better, meatier.

Feel free to get the ball rolling, pp.

PP here. I have nothing to say. That's my complaint! I feel like the last couple of episodes haven't given me much new to think about or consider.

I would have liked to see the discussion between Beth and Randall on whether he should run for Senate. That is a big commitment for the candidate’s spouse and children.

There is a whole season's worth of material there

I wish there was a spinoff of Randall’s family.

But no Randall, he's exhausting. Or only cameos because he's so busy in DC!

At least I provide links to support my analysis.

If the writers were reading this they'd be rolling their eyes so hard at this, and the fact that the gray hair was picked up slightly more in some shots than others because of the lighting.

I don’t think it’s the lighting or an accident.

So you're saying that Randall just so happens to be wearing the exact same outfit in two different scenes that happen several years apart?

Come on.

And you’re saying his hair goes black to gray to black all in the same day.
