This ep was a lukewarm rehash of the 30somethings vs 20somethings early in SATC. The writers are really struggling to fine new material, and they have no earthly idea what to do with the Seema character.

I disagree. Not about the tennis dress (hideous) but about the aging characters. Carrie was explained to have had a birth defect, not a bad hip from old age. Steve really does need hearing aids—so you can’t say they’re taking dramatic license there. Stanford is dead IRL, so Big dying is reasonable. Everyone else is doing their thing. Carrie trudged all over the city in heels. Charlotte and her husband (and their friends) play tennis, and Charlotte noted her burpee regimen. Harry seems even fitter now. Anthony runs a demanding business and only needs a little Botox. Who else is bumbling around like a senior citizen?

So the actor who plays Steve needs hearing aids? I did not know that. I thought it was a random thing to put in the script. I guess I was thinking of the way Miranda hobbles around when she walks and her leg fell asleep just having a picnic lunch ?!? and talking about burpees like that is a novel impressive thing worth mentioning. But mostly I thought the tennis outfit was super dowdy and a strange choice.

I’ve never seen the other show that the Steve actor is in - I think it’s one of the Chicago shows on NBC? Does anyone watch that who can tell us if he also plays a yelling, doddering fool in it as well?

I Mean he plays one of the older guys in the fire house and I think there was one story line about that. But no he is doing pretty heroic stuff most of the time. I didn't even realize he had a hearing loss issue, it is not part of the plot line on Chicago Fire (I don't think he could be a firefighter with it). He owns a bar in Chicago Fire too lol. He is shown as having these wild crazy ideas sometimes, but he isn't portrayed as an idiot IMO.

That was a good ep and I laugh just thinking about Samantha vs her obnoxious 20something assistant. This one, no laughter, just weak.

Agree about Seema, who clearly has the potential to bring good sex stories and humor a la Samantha but they've relegated her to bad real estate jokes.

That wouldn't help the actress, would only draw attention to thick calves. Coordinating leggings under a tennis skirt would have been the way to go.

Exactly what I was thinking when I heard Miranda say she’s going to Cleveland. Also, didn’t Che say she’s poly in her podcast intro on episode 1? Hence the “nontraditional” line at the pride festival.
