Wow. This is just so wrong. A player might not get to play at all then.

Yes but every one of their players end up at t25 d1 programs...even the ones on the bench. It is well worth the money and not playing in games from u13-u17 is the best thing for players.

Total BS. Total. And if you think the same players sitting on the bench for two years could not get scholarships while playing on the field elsewhere, either you are out of your mind or your statement alone shows how poorly college coaches select players.

One McLean team has 30 players. The oldest one and that is because they had a lot of 02s that didn’t graduate.

by senior year most kids have figured out where they are playing in college, so they are just parked on the U19/U18 squad until they graduate.

The late birthday kids essentially get an extra year in youth soccer.

Based upon the BSC parent(s), the 2008G team has talented Midfielders and D Backs. Sounds like they might need talented Strikers/Center Forwards.

Hence, if your DD is a talented CF/Striker, BSC might be a good option.

Nope, striker scored 4 goals at Celtic Union over the weekend. Center forward is healed now. Two players have been added to roster during the break. There are currently no real weak spots with the starters but does lack a bench.

One Goal that Celtic scored were off a free kick the goalie mishandled and Celtic put the rebound in. The other goal was an intended cross that deflected off the goalie's hands into the goal. Other than that, BSC possessed most of the game.

Oh, thank God the girl is healed now. The Bethesda excuses can now end. One player is responsible for a 25 goal differential swing.

LOL Pretty deep team if one player is so pivotal.

Not worth the battle here of parents . . but that BSC 2008 team had were several key injuries that went on for weeks in starters, Covid issues (they had games cancelled constantly including MD United), players move out of DMV on a small roster. Life & Covid situations / Life happens to 11 and 12 year old girls.

Yes, things that only affect Bethesda.

Injuries are never an excuse, they are part of the game. All sports and all teams are successful or not based on next man up.

Thank you for this blinding glimpse of the obvious. If all players are interchangeable, true. If not, this is tripe. And every team may be differently affected. Nobody needs excuses for performance in . . . Youth soccer. These are explanations, not excuses. If you don’t know the difference, perhaps spend a little more time reading and a little less time doing advanced analytics (yeah right) on U13 soccer teams. And perhaps dial it back on watching sports. Your cliches are showing and I am pretty confident they are as tired of this as well, unless they are also a little dimwitted.

What’s your point? They are still 08s even in 2022 as well, and 2023, 2024......

Nah, they are excuses. Nice deflection though. I'm glad your kid is playing again though. As long as YOU believe she is the difference-maker for the team then that's all we need to know.

If only scrimmages counted instead of league games your analytics would be different.

Even so, we are still better than your McLean team you left. Will also be interesting to see what happens next weekend if it happens. Jeff Cup as well. Maybe we should re-visit then? You also might feel a little better after playing your weak home tournament as well.

Didn’t BSC bear McLean in a friendly last month?

OK, in addition to the moratorium on sports cliches, can you dial it back on the juvenile attempt at posing as youthful by using "nah"? What are you, 15?

I don’t understand why there is such hatred towards BSC. No club is perfect.

We are at Potomac so don’t say I’m defending them.

Or, you could be a grown up and not talk about 12 year old girls like they are pro players.
