I am sure she is referring, in part, to the investigation the school is doing with an outside firm. My understanding is that the findings of this investigation will not be widely available for parents to review, and will only be made available to the board. |
Your understanding derived from…? |
I have been quite appalled by the lack of press coverage since November. Just feels that no one cares for the hundreds of families waiting. There have also been zero new charges filed and zero new information since the initial filing in November - perhaps I will admit the lack of news coverage overall is bc there is quite frankly nothing new to report on. The same DA team has been also been completely overwhelmed by J6 and that complete mess - just wish some focus could be put back on the safety and well being of the hundreds of families in DC impacted. I just wish there was at least one article about James, the history of his tenure at all the schools including BVR and the Toth connection. Press could apply pressure to everyone and at least push for some clarity that is needed |
O good lord. Tell me you’re joking. There is nothing to report and the man is locked up. There isn’t any danger to the families. It is a tiny number of rich people. If you hadn’t noticed, there are wars, plane crashes, presidential elections, wild fires, etc. that are more important and affect more people. Get over yourself. |
Agreed - that's just an unrealistic expectation. I'm an NCRC parent who was upset at the school's initial response, but I very much think they've done the right thing to keep the focus on the children and provide updates if and when they have them, which they have done including with respect to the status of the case. |
He’s been around likely thousands of kids in DC for over 15 years at multiple schools. Not everyone is “rich” and not sure why that even is brought up when we’re talking about exploiting children. Guess you think it’s ok bc they’re rich? He also taught along side a man in the same grade who was on the run and fbi’s most wanted. And yes - there is a Washington Post local dmv section - you’ll see detailed information that impacts our community. And this quite frankly does. |
But there is no news to report, regardless of how appalled and disappointed PP is.
|
I totally agree. The silence is deafening. Child sex abuse is happening right now at schools in our area. Find it. Report suspicions to local police department. Get a copy of your report. Zero evidence is necessary. You are not the investigator. Police depend on us for leads to potential targets for investigations. Whenever a child says so-and-so is creepy, there’s your first red flag. |
The firm that is doing the investigation has a number you can call to contact them. My friend spoke to them and they told her that only the board chair would receive the final report from the firm. I hope that is not true. |
Of course that’s true. The Board is the law firm’s client. Their investigation is protected by the attorney-client privilege, so their report will be addressed to the Board and delivered only to them to maintain the privilege. That’s where the firm’s control of the report ends. If you want to know what if anything the Board will release, you will need to ask the Board. |

Wo! Does anyone else read the Washington Examiner? My 5 bullet points in my brain here, as I can’t handle more these days, are… 1. Wo! We were there in the early James years and was not really like that. Although we did return for alumni events and noticed there was change. 2. Suggests some indoctrination of grooming methods? So suggest a community effort? Still there? 3. Faculty member coming to your house at bedtime? For storytime and a tuck in? 4. Has there been a thorough investigation to see if there are other stories of possible inappropriate touching of kids? Might start with the hair… 5. Has the board responded? Might be good opportunity for a letter to the editor no? My views are my own, does not represent that of DCUM or the newspaper. |
What is Wo! ??? |
A unique exclamatory expression!? |
I think it's "whoa" for the kind of people who read The Washington Examiner and post an editorial that essential correlates wokeness and DEI to pedophelia. |
Many many people here will write this off the first second they realize that wokeness is being questioned but here is a quote from the article to think about: “It is not a coincidence that schools obsessed with childhood sexuality were a haven for pedophiles. Adults consumed with the sexuality of young children should be looked upon with suspicion. No adult would think about children as sexual beings unless they view them as sexual beings. Carroll and Toth were attracted to these schools because they knew they could make the most of the opportunities available there.” |
