One of the final straws for the family I spoke with was when their 3-year-old son came home one day donning pigtails in his hair. When asked why, the youngster explained, “They were doing a demonstration in class about how you can look one gender on the outside and feel like another on the inside. It didn’t matter what you looked like on the outside, but what mattered was how you felt inside.” His mother fumed, “Why are teachers even touching children’s hair?”

I am an actual NCRC parent and can tell you that my child has never covered any of the "woke" topics at school, unless learning about other people's traditions and that we should respect each other is "woke."

This is an insane leap. Grownups is used because there are children in the school who may not have a mom or dad or who may be being raised by a relative. It is an easy way to ensure children don’t feel excluded. It is thoughtful and intentional.

Yep! And many kids are dropped off or picked up or both by nannies, so grown ups encompasses those people too.

I’m also pretty sure I got Mother’s Day cards from my kids from school there, FWIW. And Halloween isn’t celebrated at school because some little kids get skittish about costumes, but the Saturday family Pumpkin Party is one of the highlights of the year.

Like most DC private school parents, NCRC is certainly liberal, but this article is painting a picture that was not my experience.

Of course that’s true. The Board is the law firm’s client. Their investigation is protected by the attorney-client privilege, so their report will be addressed to the Board and delivered only to them to maintain the privilege. That’s where the firm’s control of the report ends. If you want to know what if anything the Board will release, you will need to ask the Board.

Why do people keep treating the whole school as a bunch of pedophiles? There’s no evidence of that. They complied with all the investigations and then underwent an additional one on their own dime.

Carroll clearly is deranged and the world is better for having him locked up. But not one of you can actually say a single other person at NCRC is guilty of anything. And what’s more, there has been no evidence there was an involvement of the students there.

Now, if an article came out with ACTUAL information, I would be thrilled. Because we should have more answers to how long he was doing it, how he got away with it and absolute certainty that his actions didn’t leave the internet. But this article is just a bunch of anti-DEI anecdotes.

Same! This article absolute does not match my experience at NCRC. I’m not sure who these people are who are so invested in trash taking a preschool but for those who know the school, this article is laughable.

Scary. In a short span we have been aware of 3 cases of pedophiles in schools. The preschool at Wash Heb, NCRC, and BVR. All reputable places we trust. Guess the bottom line is, be vigilant.

How can you justify the cost of childcare to be the same as the tuition of a university ? The fees are morally unacceptable….unlesss….. it guarantees the admission to an elite school…..The Whole thing is a pyramid scam. The pedophile is the cherry on the cake.
