Any guesses where Pete and Chasten Buttigieg will live in the DMV?

Takoma Park/Takoma DC is a straight shot up North Capitol to the Hill. Could also see them in Brookland.

He’ll make $200K as a Secretary per the latest salary tables and gets a driver. But still he’s not buying a house here on that. Unknown if Chasten will find a teaching job here, but that won’t bring in that much more. Renting a nice place maybe. A house in Garret Park or CCMD? Yea, no.

I smell a large infusion of cash from a book deal.

At some point, maybe, but he'll be too busy in the near future. Forbes estimates his net worth around 100K (assets minus debts). Chasten's book deal advance was 45k, not a huge amount. I'm sure they'll rent and decide whether they they want to stay beyond a single term, but will have major sticker shock.

Pete had a book that came out last year and another one came out this year.

Sounds like you know him. Can you get him to sign copies for me?

Per my neighbors, Capitol Hill! (I’ll respect their privacy — and security — and refrain from posting the block, though I’m sure it will become public knowledge soon enough.

Pete will be driven to/from work each day by DOT uniformed officers. Something within a 10 minute drive from the office. Chasten can get a teaching job in one of the many nearby charter or DCPS schools. Room to grow for kids, plus lots of other young families around. Cap Hill is super progressive and friendly to LGBTQ professional families.

That puts them on the Hill. They are not crunchy, so TP is out out.

Boom.

Well done PP.

Near Eastern Market, if anyone is curious. (I think that is still sufficiently vague to protect their privacy, but it is now widely known in the neighborhood. I helps that they walk their dogs!)

Okay, so this was my the first post that mentioned Capitol Hill and it was mine, so I win. I've got to take my wins where I can get them these days.

Lots of whispers that they actually bought a house in Del Ray. It will be interesting to see where they land.

Another inquiring mind here.

What I know is that they’re staying down the street from my Eastern Market home. Whether it’s temporary or not I’m not privy to. (And I don’t want to post on whether it’s a rental or not.)

I am the OP of the post with the detailed description. This is the only thing I predicted correctly recently (I bought GameStop at $250 lol)
