| Any guesses where the Buttigieg’s will live when they move to the DMV next month? They aren’t millionaires, so unless there is a stipend he gets as Secty of Transportation or a friend rents them their home, I’m guessing money might be a factor since it’s so damn expensive to live here. |
| They’ll rent a nice apartment in SW or center city or Shaw. Or they’ll buy a modest tiny place on the hill. They’ll do fine. |
| As Secretary, Buttigueg will be making low six-figures. They don’t have kids either. They’ll be fine and probably rent a condo in Kamala’s luxury building in D.C. Since Kamala will be living at the Naval Observatory she might even be willing to let them have her place. |
| DuPont circle. Was this even a question? |
Do you really think all gay people still live in DuPont? When was the last time you were in DC, the 90s? |
| I kind of thought they might go somewhere like Takoma Park |
I was thinking Shepherd Park (lots of gay DINKS here) but that seems sort of out of the way for them--Pete is 38, not 58. Unless he wants a lot of space, I'd imagine he'd want somewhere more walkable. |
| I wonder if Chasten will get a teaching job here? DCPS? Charter school? |
Neither of them strike me as crunchy. |
yeah. gay and crunchy aren't necessarily synonymous lol. Pete was a McKinsey consultant, intelligence officer, officer in the Navy... |
| I’m voting for Navy Yard or Waterfront - walk to work! Maybe they’ll have a kid! |
Yep there’s no reason for them to be out of the way like that - they’re not worried about school districts. Either DuPont like Kamala and Doug or Kalorama like the Obamas and Trumps. Georgetown could work as well. |

OP did you see this article? A lot of idle speculation, but the fact that they have dogs makes me think they might actually want some space.

| From what they said they’re planning to have kids soon and they have 2 digs so a yard might be a necessity. |
| I think somewhere where they could have a fence/privacy to keep away the gawkers. That became a problem for them in South Bend. |
