| I think CIO as babies makes them angry. In the old day, all the black nannies were raising these boys and while they still grew up cruel and entitled, they were not angry. |
White women need to pay reparations? GFY u fat cow. |
I say start with the family. Moms and wives need to give love and support to these males. |
Lots of male characters and male leads. What are you talking about? Younger kids: https://www.fatherly.com/play/most-popular-kids-shows/ https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/life/entertainment/g28087907/best-kids-tv-shows/ https://www.timeout.com/new-york-kids/things-to-do/best-kids-shows-on-tv-for-families Teens: https://www.thrillist.com/entertainment/nation/best-teen-shows-on-netflix https://www.glamour.com/story/best-teen-dramas https://www.ranker.com/list/teen-drama-tv-shows-and-series/ranker-tv I mean, there are some without male leads, but certainly not even half. How much representation do you need for your boy, and must it really be that highly prioritized over everyone else? |
Wrong. Corporate America is all about the money. Most Americans said they support BLM, and boom, all of a sudden there is Target "taking a stand." People 18-34 overwhelmingly support racial and gender equality and are comfortable with same sex marriage and intermarriage. Nike was ahead of the game a little with support of Kaep, but that's only because they know their buyers. |
My kids are just out of the preschool cartoon age and the majority of those cartoons had all male characters with one token female. One of my daughters asked why there’s only one girl in Paw Patrol, or Agent Oso. Boys are still the default and the “norm.” |
| The gillette commercial a while back that was basically proselytizing about 'toxic masculinity' was an absolute farce. It was a pathetic display of pure pandering to an agenda. The commercial basically painted all men as rapists and boys as rapists in training. It was so ridiculously stupid that I haven't bought gillette razors since. |
What about dads? Do they need to support and nurture their children? |
I agree. Both my grandmother and my mom raised all their kids CIO (neither had any help) and we have all turned out angry and anxious. |
These are all male voices, from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NPR_personnel. I don't know how many are white, but I am sure some are, and I'm not sure why that is necessary. I hear a lot from Ira Flatow, Jack Speer, Steve Inskeep, Peter Sagal, Scott Simon, Andy Borowitz, David Brooks, Corey Flintoff, Noah Abrams, Ari Shapiro, and Dave Mattingly -- and they all seem to be white men. I took out female names from the link. Not nearly half. c'mon, you know it's always the woman's fault. |
For those of us familiar with toxic masculinity, the ad rang true. But of course you can spend your money as you wish. |
| This whole attitude is a lot like when a woman speaks 10% of the meeting and men complain that she was domineering and estimate she spent 70% of the meeting talking. Your perspective is f***ed. |
I am sorry. Do any of their children also support NRA? Usually it goes hand in hand. I would suggest deep breathing exercises or other calming techniques. |
There's nothing political about an interracial couple. If you're alienated by that you deserve to feel alienated. |
