I think we know which league is the A league.

And if you are a BRYC 04 this means what exactly?

Please, tell us about your amazing team. Oh, did you see the thread about the Mid Atlantic Division being split into North and South? I wonder how ECNL plans to fill out a North Division? B teams? NPL teams? New VA clubs that aren’t in GA?

Top clubs in any area are in ECNL and that is the case in the DMV. The only top club not in the ECNL is FCV. Arlington and MU are not at the same level. They weren't before DA and they are not now.

The Soccerwire rankings are a joke. FCV is not a top club. They were just in an awful division in the DA. They only looked good because that division didn’t have many teams come from the ECNL. A perfect example of that is the FCV 04 team that is ranked overall 2 in the DA and first in their poor conference can’t beat lower level ECNL teams. FCV was the worst club in the area when they were in the ECNL.

I am not an FCV fan but FCV is one of the top teams in the DMV. NT and YNT players, league records and players going to DI schools sets the club apart from the middle of the pack.

Stop! I am not an FCV fan but FCV is one

Except McLean destroys them in every thing you said!

The league record of FCV means nothing because their league was inferior. Were they good when they were in the ECNL? No!
Loudoun had a great league record in the CCL but doesn’t mean anything because CCL is inferior to ECNL.

Agree. Not a FCV fan but the statement went to far. I agree that Arlington and MU (and frankly Atlantic DA and now GAL) try to hang their hat on the success of FCV. I agree that their division in the DA was weak. However, the are recognized nationally as a above average elite club. They're nowhere near the level of Dallas, Solar, Hawks, PDA, etc as a club, but they are founding members of ECNL and Terry Foleys club (yes, his creation) has uplifted the women's soccer game in this area when others failed to do so.

Terry Foley would have gotten FCV back into the ECNL where they belong. He's gone, and so is FCV. Not because they're not good enough. We all know they are. Its because of arrogance on so many levels. Some of you, most of you, don't understand the level.

And to add one more point. Again, not a FCV supporter, but people should thank their lucky stars that Loudoun didn't have complete control of the girls game in NOVA. If Loudoun got the power, the arrogance would be 10x what it is now at FCV.

Arlington is better than some of the clubs currently in ECNL. That may not last with the way things have fallen out but based on the teams as they existed on February 1st, Arlington would have contended well against the ECNL clubs from 03 down.

Arlington and FCV have good players but their style of play is not conducive to success at older age groups.

For example in this state for the 03 age group both teams are pretty far down:
1) BRYC
2) McLean
3) Beach
4) SOCA
5) FCV
6) Herndon
7) Arlington

I’m not going to comment on Loudoun but let’s be clear FCV is mediocre. They had every head start being in the ECNL first and still have accomplished nothing. They are everything wrong with American youth soccer...recruit good players, play poor style of play, win at the early ages and brag to recruit more players but the players never develop to their potential!

BRYC (multiple division titles) and VDA (National finalist) have already accomplished more in the ECNL then FCV ever did.

I'm a ECNL poster and these rankings are wrong. I wish the 06-08 parents would stop posting. FCV below SOCA is next level

What are talking about regarding BRYC having multiple division titles?

Currently they only have one team in first place, 03’s and two teams in last and one in 9th place and one in 3rd. Two good teams does not a power club make.

This is about the one 03 age group.

BRYC 03 by far the strongest team the club has. By far, the rest are well below average for "elite" teams. FCV 03 likely weakest of a very strong group of team. And yet, FCV 03 and BYRC 03 would be a very competitive game. What does that tell you? Same goes for McLean. One elite team, one average team and the rest weak. Beach and SOCA take this parent to lala land. Just plain stupid statement. Throw in Herndon and let's laugh a little more.
Anonymous
FCV 03 and BYRC 03 would not be close, and that's the reason FCV never allowed that game to happen.

You mean the same BRYC 03 team that won zero, lost 4, and tied 2 out their 6 showcase games when they left the ECNL MA? That one?

LOTS of talent there squandered by lack of development over several years.

So talented. Coach was too interested in winning and being the center of attention. Forgot to develop the players. Have fun at vda.
