What other sorts of criminal behavior do you also engage in?

Why? Are you planning to hunt them down and shoot them?

+1000, I also like to check out houses under construction. It looks like he just walked in - no door or anything. Wtf could he have possibly stolen and carried away on foot?

Oh yeah, he definitely deserved the death penalty for that.

As a woman I also like checking the layout of new homes and seeing the style. Maybe he was looking to buy. Maybe he was casing the place. Does not, under any circumstances, give you the right to shoot him.

I used to do the same thing with my dad when we were little. Check out houses under construction. Never for a second thought we were doing any harm or would get into trouble. I'm so sorry for this young man and his family. And others killed senselessly in this way.

Maybe he was looking for a job application for the construction company building the house.

Why would I? I’m not a psycho like you.

Those certainly don’t look like boots. I was told he was wearing work boots.

Why, because those two stupid idiots with guns killed a man who did not have a gun.

They are not police officers.

They killed someone period, who was not in anyway threatening their lives to the point they had to shoot.

There is zero defense here. Doesn't matter the character of the guy shot, he didn't have a gun. He wasn't attacking them.

Anyone defending them is sick....

Didn't the jogger attack the guy who was standing outside the pick-up truck holding the rifle? At that point it becomes a lethal force situation. The hillbillies created the situation, but it wasn't a tactically smart move on the joggers part. Maybe he didn't see the second guy in the bed of the pick-up truck with a rifle? In some ways this is kind of George Zimmerman 2.0.

At that point it becomes a lethal force situation?? Not when the chased him with a truck and guns? Not when the son got out of the truck holding a shot gun? Charging the shooter is self defense. If you go to mug me with a gun, we struggle and you shoot me, that’s not self defense even if I’m the one who initiated the struggle.

The mcMichaels were not right in what they did.

But Arbery is also not a jogger-martyr.

This reminds me very much of the Matthew Shepard murder. A day after he was killed the media proclaimed is a hate crime against a gay man. It wasn’t. It was over meth. It was a robbery because the men were previously acquainted and one of them thought he had just made a large meth transaction. Even the prosecutor did not take a hate crime angle during the trial and they were convicted of a murder charge that is murder during a felony - robbery. Yet, Matthew Shepard is the poster boy for gay hate crimes to this day (even a federal act is named after him) when the facts presented by the media were wrong all along.

That is simply what is happening here.
