Initial exit polls did show that but subsequent polling did not back that up. As the prior PP noted, however, hispanic Catholics provided a huge anount of the Dem support. And, as usual, white male (Catholic) voters broke for Trump.

To the other PP - no, I have never heard comments about politics and abortion during the homily. I am not surprised it happens in conservative areas, though. I only noted the stats above to remind people that there is a huge discrepancy between the Catholic hierarchy and everyday practicing Catholics. Further, there are some of us who believe the Church will never change unless we stay members and attempt to change the Church from within.
