It’s that time of year- let’s debate comfortable but not too hideous sandals!

I wish I could wear Rothy's but they are wildly uncomfortable for me. I'm always surprised people think they are so comfortable.

I think the Vejas are cute enough to wear with dresses, etc, but I'd say no to the other ones. Others may differ in opinion, though.

The vejas aren’t good for a lot of walking.

I put inserts in them.

I prefer lightweight sneakers for really heavy walking days no matter the heat because I think they are just so much more supportive for my feet and help keep them healthy. One reason I wouldn't wear even very supportive sandals for a LOT of walking is that I know my feet are going to sweat and swell and a well fitted sneaker is going to handle that better.

And then I can go back to the hotel, take a shower, and put on some cute sandals. If I'm somewhere with lots of cobblestones, I'd wear one of the actually cute, flat-soled options on this thread. Or maybe just my Birks which are not the sexiest thing ever but are cute enough and comfy.

But I'm not trying to find a pair of actually cute sandals that I can also walk for miles and miles on cobblestoned streets in. It just seems pointless. Even if I found some that were attractive, my feet would probably look hideous in them by the end of the day.

Same! They feel awkward on my feet and are overpriced for what they are, IMO.

These are the most comfortable sandals ever and I get so many compliments plummets on them. You can wear them with a t-strap or without it.

I agree. I think there’s an inverse relationship between comfort and cuteness.

Keens are amazing shoes though. Very functional. I have a closed toe sandal that most people find strange and ugly, but this one shoe works for water sports, hiking, and sightseeing if you have a lot of black in your wardrobe and are into Japanese minimalism. They won’t go with Tuckernuck dresses etc…

I shop brands I like: Seychelles, Birkenstock, Dolce Vita, Olukai, beek.
So no?

Are you dense? Look up the brands then find styles you like. Everyone doesn't like ankle straps. Some like slides, mules or flip flops. Universally, nobody likes the disgusting sandals you keep posting.

Tell me you're afraid people will call your sandal selections ugly without telling me you're afraid people will call your sandal selections ugly.
