That should be utterly incomprehensible, but here we are. Between the totalitarian demands for Christian journalists to remove any signs of their faith and the absolute refusal to admit that maybe Katie Porter should understand how not to throw a temper tantrum when faced with difficult questions… the progressive left is not sending its best, I see.

Almost every liberal here said she shouldn’t have acted that way. We’re just also pointing out the double standard republicans have. Did you not read the thread or are you being intentionally dishonest?

Sure, take “well ackshually” to voters already fed up with you and see how it goes. That’s a strategy for sure. 👍

Whatever. With the vile crap that constantly spews from Trump, Vance, Miller, Bondi etc., criticism about character or tantrums etc just rings hollow. Trump leads all politicians in tantrums and bad behavior.

GOP/MAGA are hypocrites with no morals, no integrity and no decency. Dems call this out. GOP coddles the jerks and promotes them. Any criticism of this woman by the right is just laughably hypocritical and hollow.

I’m in California and the people I hear criticizing Porter are all Democrats and hardly on the right. It’s insane to pretend normal people are okay with this.

Politics right now in the USA is the ugliest it's been in my lifetime - I'm pretty old.

We need pugilists to take on the MAGA poison that has invaded our political system. We don't need soft spoken appeasers.

Bring it on, Katie - they'll hate you just as much if you're nicey nice, so you might as well bring the righteous anger of a single mother who has spent decades watching the system screw tens of millions of single mothers. We need you to FIGHT for us!

But that leak did not show a boxer. It showed a defensive woman because she was confronted with the reality that she would have to win over maga voters. She was disgusted at the thought.

She gives pushback on round and around way the reporter wants to get a gotcha moment and you all pounce. 6 pages of bs here.

The sad reality is that most of us expect Trump to act like that. We do not expect Porter to be like that.

And after seeing how she treats her staff, she is just icky

Democrats on this thread have criticized her too, we just also think it’s making a mountain out of a mole hill and we’re not going to be drama queens about “omg, this kind of behavior tanks campaigns.” Because we have LOTS of people in office who have behaved MUCH worse on a regular basis. Obviously, it does not matter. At all.

Yes, as I said. Dems call this out. But MAGA gets to say exactly nothing, because this lady PALES in comparison with their leadership. There is no contest here.

But there are no MAGA that are credible contenders for the governor’s race in CA. So it does not matter how she compares to Trump. It matters how she compares to other CA candidates.

What a horrid nasty woman. Can only be elected in a place like CA.

Weird conclusion.. It doesn't make "Dems" look bad, it makes her look bad.

Her statement that we don't need MAGA is bad to say out loud. I agree with her, but I do think it makes her look as vindictive and partisan as MAGA.

That's literally what we're fighting against now. We want MAGA to realize that we're the party of labor, stable economy, and more affordable health.

Not needing the terrorist vote is not as “vindictive” as sending the army to attack cities!

Well, if you elect a MAGA be prepared for your economy to tank. For fires to get worse because climate change isn’t a thing. That guy will have ya’ll working in the fields.

+1

To each state their own. If idiot Republicans in Florida want a scumbag GOP governor, that's their choice. If idiot Dems in California want this nut job as their governor, that's their choice. Why are "DC" urban folks all up California's business anyway? We have our own problems around here.

And that's why the misogyny claims have merit.

This reminds me a bit of when Al Franken was essentially forced to resign by Schumer and Gillibrand. Be smarter about this, CA dems.

That's a huge leap in logic there.

Here’s where I see the similarities - the behavior at issue is not great but really isn’t terrible. The right whips everyone into a frenzy. Fellow democrats turn on a smart, talented and imperfect politician.

DP but no, PP is just pointing out that Dems eat their own.
