Her interview was a train wreck. She doesn’t come across as a seasoned politician who cares about her constituents |
| If Trump had a female analogue, it’s probably Katie Porter. |
She comes across as having little patience for dumb questions. I actually do think she cares about her constituents. Is this video the only thing you know about her? |
|
This has nothing to do with DEI (Trump is a white male, and much more despicable than her).
She did come across, however, like a very nasty person. This could well cost her the race. |
| In the not too distant past, Katie Porter was a DCUM favorite |
MAGA overlooked videotape of Trump saying he grabs women by the p*ssy. If I were a CA voter, I could overlook that Katie Porter is short tempered. |

The timing of this feels iffy to me. The divorce stuff was available before but this is the first I'm hearing it. It feels a bit like the Amy Klobachar (sp?) eating salad w a comb and being nasty to staff "news."
Women politicians just gotta be perfect I guess. I don't even want to watch the viral video. I was a fan of her from the congressional hearings and I have no reason to look at the bad stuff (not voting in CA). I am unconvinced that either of these women are worse than many male politicians whose nastiness isn't newsworthy. She can be bad for her family and good for the country. |

"What do you say to the 40% of voters who voted for Trump you will need in order to win?"
Ridiculous question implying winning requires 100% of the vote. Porter's immediate response identified the pointlessness of the question. Who is this reporter? (gold cross necklaces tend to lead me to think Republican, because they use them to make political statements) Unreasonable question. Whether she handled her own response skillfully might be an issue but let's look at the setup. Maybe she should have just said "Newsom's margin in 2022 was 59%, so I'm good with 60%." |
Absolutely not. Pam Bondi or Karoline maybe. |
Are you serious? Good grief - why hasn’t this been widely publicized? |
Everybody can have a bad day. That said, I don't think we'll accept a woman who acts like this, so she's out. |

When it’s a man being judged by republicans, it’s called courage, strength, toughness, and passion. See: Kavenaugh |
Sure. People have posted multiple videos of her ugly behavior, in addition to the reports of her domestic abuse. But do go on! DP
