I think she has a personality disorder. She is as ugly and nasty on the inside as she is on the outside. You can tell a lot about a person based on how they treat others, especially when no one is looking.

Dude, you can't accuse her of behaving "this way" (however you want to characterize it) when nobody is looking. She literally knew she was on camera.

She's not soft or simpering. For heaven's sake, she's a politician. You knew that. It doesn't come with a retiring or kittenish personality.

She put hot mashed potatoes on her ex husband's head ...

Well, he alleged it as part of divorce proceedings. He later said he regretted doing so.

Are you unfamiliar with what happens in divorce court?

She didn't deny it.

Do you lie because you have nothing else?

Those include allegations made during her divorce with ex-husband Matthew Hoffman, such as him accusing her of dumping boiling potatoes on his head. Porter has denied those accusations and filed a restraining order against Hoffman, accusing him of abuse as well.

Oh, great! Glad she doesn't have a temper after all.

She may have issues but I don’t think the husband thing is it. There were allegations he was violent towards her so that puts it in context. Plus she got the kids. If she were truly the violent one, I think that would not have happened.
She still doesn’t seem great. Then again, I’m a very nice person and would never be in a position to run for governor. Most politicians z seem to have some personality flaws. Normal people don’t really want that job.

Agree with your last point. Republicans have made their peace with that.

+1 as have Democrats

Except the ones on this thread who just can’t get past what a meany Katie Porter is.

Sorry - if Katie Porter was a Republican, you'd be having a field day with what a toxic person she clearly is. Sorry this triggers you.

Porter is basically a Republican. They are generally interchangeable. She had a seat in the swamp with the rest of the corrupt swamp creatures. Many of them enter Congress with sincere intentions to do right by their constituents and then 90% of them play the please the donors game. So sickening!

Porter is a left wing Democrat. At least be honest.

Is this the current party line any time a Democrat acts badly? It is, of course, a lie. Porter is a progressive Democrat.

If they are a national politician in 2025 and they carry an R or D next to their names, they are inherently "bad" for the American people.

CNN is trash.

All cable news is trash

When there are significantly newsworthy global events, CNN does as good a job as any covering the story anywhere with their web of correspondents throughout the world.

They also include pundits who give the arguments of from all sides of the political spectrum in their political round tables. While doing so, they make it very clear what the political biases of the people speaking are. CNN isn't the one-sided wool over the sheep's eyes network they used to be. They aren't perfect but they may be the only cable news network that serves a useful purpose.

The problem with CNN is what they choose NOT to cover.

63 seconds…

That’s how long Legacy Media spent on Democrat Jay Jones’s text messages fantasizing about killing his political opponents and their children.

PBS: 0
ABC: 0
CBS: 0
CNN: 0
NBC: 63

The top law enforcement officer in VA and they didn’t cover it.

Jay Jones is some idiot state level politician wannabe. He doesn't deserve national attention. CNN doesn't cover local news you two-bit hillbilly.

And yet they are discussing the California gubernatorial race. Not much different than the Virginia gubernatorial election which Jones is part of.

They chose not to cover it because they don’t want to acknowledge LW violence.

DP. Virginia is not California. And AG is not the governor. Under your logic they should also be covering people running for the Arlington county board because they’re on the same ballot.

Mark Sanchez is famous famous and Jay Jones is a regional politician. I’m sure more people are familiar with Tom Brady than Abigail Spanberger.

This is what we're going to be up against in 2026. An AI video that shows Porter beating up Watts has been viewed 1Mx. There's also an AI video of her throwing mashed potatoes on her husband. AI is furthering rampant sexism. There's a new book about it, The New Age of Sexism: How A.I. and Emerging Technologies Are Reinventing Misogyny.

I’m still not voting for her and her paltry record for governor.

Southern Californian here who lives near her district when she was a representative. She was popular and could have had a good political career in the House but it's over for her. Not just because of these videos but because of other actions too.

She blew it big time running for senate against Adam Schiff. Her district went red after she left. Thanks a lot! It was always just her career. The OC area is historically red but now purple. She could have had a good career as a rep in this area and then set her sights on senator or governor. She moved here from Iowa and was a relatively new transplant. Looking at the whole picture of her, she doesn't want to pay her dues and is unrealistic about her qualifications. So her bad behavior with staff fits this too.

I voted for Schiff in the last election because I was p!ssed she left the district she had flipped blue for the first time ever or since the 1930s or something. Dems lost that seat. She can move back to Iowa.

So that means you're going to just bury your head in the sand re AI? It wasn't intended to have you switch your vote. It was intended for you to open your eyes.

Well, please enlighten us on AI and sexism. I'm intrigued since I haven't read the book I cited yet.
