I'm a man in my 50s dating a smart, successful attractive woman in her 40s, more than 10 years younger. Yes, a woman in her 40s is more likely to be attractive to me than a woman in her 50s, but that's not the whole story.

Plenty of women in their 50s also are attractive and I've been turned down by attractive women in their 50s (and a few in their 60s) quite a few times. I'm a decent looking professional guy but I have plenty of competition .

I've also had relationships with women my age or older and they were great. Those women were attractive, sexual, etc. Other men were interested in them too.

Women in their 50s have options.

First of all, can we stop being bringing Leo? He’s gay and has contracts with these women so really bad example.

But that’s the same for women. Gorgeous women of the world don’t settle for DCUM dad bods in their 40s and 50s. You act like men are settling…. The flipside of that is whoever you are with is settling too.

That said, there are tons of attractive, celebrities who stay with their husband or wife and father and mother of their kids. You can’t tell me Kevin Bacon could not be banging hot women in their 30s or younger if he wanted.

And eventually, even Tom Brady got left for a younger guy and his younger sperm lol. It’s not just a guy thing.

This thread is just weird and sad. The fact is both men and women find the opposite sex most attractive in their 20s and 30s.

Once you age out of that, either you are married and aging along with your partner or you are divorcing and have a different dating pool.

Age comes for all of us who are lucky enough not to drop dead at 35 and it doesn’t have to be all bad. Everyone is so negative! Life is still worth living even if you aren’t young and hot anymore. Some of you need to touch grass.
