I watched the first episode.
I liked it, she is good and natural, I shall watch the other episodes too. I think there are a whole lot of bitter people here on this forum. They had their reasons for leaving, the British tabloids are aweful and continue to print stories about her weekly, sometimes even daily, Harry is not the heir, let him do with his life what he wants. Meghan is beautiful and talented. The show is not as bad as you say. |
I was scared to watch it because I hate cringing but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. She was saying it in a light-hearted way, as a segue into talking about why she changed her last name (I actually cringed more at that part). Mindy is a friend of hers, so it was supposed to be a relaxed conversation. Either that or she just takes herself way too seriously. And is trying to milk the royal stuff so that people might actually give a s**t, like they used to. |
My eyes were getting sore from all the rolling! I had to turn it off. I just can't! I like to watch experts or other tops in their fields - not random losers bumbling around. What is the point?? |
The problem with a lifestyle show for Meghan markle is that nobody cares about Meghan markles lifestyle. She is not the intriguing part of the couple. If Harry did a lifestyle show, I’d watch. His background and life story is far more interesting. I don’t find Meghan interesting or aspire to be her, and she’s not appealing in that way. She just seems like someone who thinks she’s an it girl because she married into the royal family - but she’s not - and it’s cringe.
Meghan should go back to acting where she can work instead of trying to force herself down people’s throats as a “lifestyle.” She lacks all subtlety and intrigue. |
Reminds me of Countess Luann. ![]() Good thing Meghan is pretty. Because that is all she has at this point. |
She's never made it known publicly that she goes by Meghan Sussex but I guess her "friend" Mindy was supposed to know. |
Aren't they prohibited from using the royal names in branding? Seems like I remember that from the original split. |
There are two types of people…people who see through the entire smokescreen of someone like Meghan Markle and the naive, needy please be-my-friend types that believe in her. She’s a fraud and always has been. |
It comes across as an insecure person making a power move to correct your name to a friend in a way that's phrased as a "it's so funny that you stillllll say...." way, especially when it leans on sharing a name with your husband and kids and that friend is single parent by choice. I realize that may not be the intent, and it's edited, and Mindy Kaling might be partnered privately, but it absolutely comes across that way and is HARD TO WATCH. |
Were any published reviews positive? Not random anon message board comments. Anyway it seems like a bloodbath. |
Did she want Mindy to say,
"Meghan Sussex eats at Jack in the Box" or "Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex eats at Jack in the Box". It is still unclear. |
Forbes says mostly roasted but a few positive comments here and there. https://www.forbes.com/sites/conormurray/2025/03/04/meghan-markles-with-love-meghan-roasted-by-critics-the-royal-couples-latest-media-venture-struggle/ |
I thought she meant it more in a past tense way than not acknowledging Meghan is married. But the weird part to me is that she waxed on about how special sharing a last name with her kids when the last name is completely invented and not actually anyone's last name. It's a title they adopted as a last name. I'm not even sure they legally have it? |
I don't think she has a choice. Mama's gotta pay the bills. |
From The Variety's review:
She muses to the camera that it’s possible one might want to label a jar of homemade chili oil, but it’s not strictly necessary: “Your cue on this one will be, you see the chilis in it.” (Thanks, Meghan.) When informed that the dumplings she may dress in said chili oil are called “ingots” for their resemblance to forged bits of gold, she replies, “I love hearing the meaningful stories behind things!” |
