So ECNL announcements are leaking out

I'm talking strictly on girls side.

The GA teams in this area are very weak...the ECNL teams in this area are strong.

Loudoun GA and McLean GA will be weak GA teams, wait until you see the final rosters...I'm all for a little disruption, but the good, impact players will find new homes at VDA, Arlington, possibly Bethesda...will be interesting also to see who the "new" coached will be for the 4 teams.

That's interesting. I thought NVA would go to GA. But if Loudoun goes to GA, then we will have more "elite" soccer teams. So everything in VA becomes more diluted.

I couldn't imagine a scenario where Loudoun goes to GA and NVA just remains in ECNL, especially based on how they use their facilities and all of that. IF Loudoun Soccer goes GA, it would be NVA moving to GA or the 'Alliance' would dissolve and it will be LS as GA. All of this lines up especially with the rumors of Mclean moving to GA as well. That dissolves the alliances for Loudoun and Mclean, Union could remain and absorb GFR as another partner since NVA will be done with. This makes a lot more sense when you look at all the parts that would be moving.

NVA = Dissolved, Loudoun Soccer will be standalone as GA/MLSN
Union = New alliance would be BRYC/VYS/GFR following departure of Mclean
Mclean = GA/MLSN

All jokes now hehehe, good luck trying to find playing time at VDA or Bethesda. Those teams top three kids are already branded at the HS ages as P4 and the only ones getting "developed." Good luck to everyone else trying to walk on at UMBC, Mason or playing D3 at schools they would be more than happily just pay full tuition to go to if they can gain admission.

Smartest move is making Arlington and being thrilled to play D1 at Western Kentucky or Harvard, this is the way...

Correction McLean is going MLSN Jr. (ie, MLSN 2). Gotta wonder about that decision.

So certainly not a NVA troll, could care less if NVA nor McLean does much of anything. Does make me curious why those two are the two moving? And to be clear talking about Loudoun and McLean not NVA nor Union. Honestly, what are the other big clubs in NoVa? Don't say Arlington, they are just a big (population) county that could have a donkey and elephant running things and they would still generate profit running a soccer club. Will win nothing but will always be in business. McLean and Loudoun were the standard bearers for 30years. ECNL hats have to worried.

There are 3 GA directors at VR, TSJ, or SYC. Which one said this to your kid? Or maybe you are just making it up.

Hehehe wouldn't you like to know but a GA club in VA is correct. Not trying to stir the pot just confirming some #FACTS this is happening for McLean and Loudoun. No idea what this means for Union and NVA but that is for the rest of you little trolls to speculate away about

Unless it was the SYC GA Director not sure it can be believed.

Is that the guy Arlington fired from RL teams?

He was at Arlington but no idea if he left voluntarily.

They're going by the MLS NEXT timeline, not GA's. But yeah, it's a done deal! Awesome for Loudoun and the whole county!

That is not awesome for NVA girls. In fact it’s the opposite of awesome …

Anonymous wrote:So lets assume the rumor of McLean and Loudoun going to GA is true.

1) is this national shift towards GA or is it just a localized DMV shift as a result of those two legacy clubs being crapped on by ECNL and forced into "alliances"?

2) Is GA then all ready oversaturated in the DMV market going from one badge to five in two years?

This is revenge by legacy clubs forced into alliances by a league that bullied them into destroying their clubs. That’s it. Not some national movement for GA. I am sorry but that’s the reality.

MLSN is pathway to pro/MLS
GA is pathway to pro/NWSL

GA is a pathway to NWSL? Did anyone let NWSL this is going on? Doesn’t look like they know they’re supposed to be signing GA players.
