It's not "known". It's random anonymous speculation.

More like clubs getting kicked out when they thought they could game the system...

No one is leaving ecnl.

Clubs are just looking to break off from the mergers. It makes no sense and this is one of the only conferences where ECNL is forcing clubs to combine. It’s take to develop and keep your talent from rec to GA

This +1000. Mergers/alliances were always a farce. Are the directors in you club who pushed for them still in positions of influence?

We've enjoyed ECNL on our clubs team but some of you are delusionally attached to it being the one and only Holy Grail League.

In alliances, typically one club is favored out of the others. If the rumors of McLean splitting from Union are true, good for them.

Good for them? Two failed mergers in 4-5 years, and on top of that losing ECNL. They made the decisions to do these mergers at the expense of the girls. The SYC merger was to help the boys at the expense of the girls. Then SYC gave them the middle finger, and went MLS Next. The Brave merger happened to make the boys side stronger. It didn’t. Those girls had to go through years of stress of trying to merge girls from 2 teams twice. The argument was, take the top girls from three teams (SYC, Brave and McLean) and you should get a great team. However due to politics, poor player evaluation, bad coaching, and mismanagement, they managed to make the girls teams worse. Whether their decision to leave this latest merger is the right one is yet to be seen. However, putting the club in this position, twice, and still not creating better teams? Is anyone there capable of learning a lesson? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice….

Good for them? Coaching and management there should be marched through the streets to the chants of Shame. Shame. Shame.

Fairfax Union as old BRAVE --> GA/MLSN
McLean reclaims ECNL badge, possible with GFR in mix

Opposite. Bryc boys program is worse than McLean’s. McLean is leaving union.

True. And so weird, I don’t get it.
