Trump just released his statement which is the same as Biden's. Interesting flip-flop. |
No one knows WTF you're talking about. How about you cite a source or something so we don't have to glean it from the north star? |
Trump, himself, is strong with union members. I think he also knows where his bread is buttered - with male working class voters. However the rank and file R’s in the US Chamber of Commerce are calling for the invocation of the Taft-Hartley act to end the strike immediately. If Trump became president I really don’t think the entire R party would suddenly become pro organized labor - it’s far more likely that Trump would fall in line and that his current words are just lip service. |
Epic troll. You got 'em jumping up and down now! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
So, basically the minimum, I hope you go away deal. I wouldn't take in it either. |
He can’t. Also a fact. Not unless he orders them back to work under Taft-Hartley and they don’t comply. Reagan could fire ATC because they were feds and feds can’t strike. This is the private sector and the right to strike is protected. |
So this is a lie. Under the current contract, the top rate is $39 an hour. The top, not the average. At the top, a longshoreman would need to work 16.5 hours a day, every single day of the year to hit $300k. And that’s assuming 1.5x once you hit 40 hours. Come on man. At least lie better. Starting wage is $20 an hour. At that rate you could work 24/7/365 and not get to 300k. https://wapo.st/4dJwiIF (Gift link, so read it and learn). |

I think they are taking the average or top salary + benefits and then applying a 77% raise as demanded. |
Biden had no problem crushing a rail strike. Does he blink here? |
You're not including bonuses and profit sharing. |
Trump released a statement a few hours ago which stated that the union should be allowed to negotiate. That is the same as Biden's position. Last week Trump was saying that he would fire striking workers and replace them with scabs. |
And? 147k is half of the 300k PP pulled out of his a**. And this guy doesn’t source his $147k. |
