Dockworker’s strike

The dockstrikers were fortunate to have Biden as President when they first striked. They got a HUGE pay increase. Under Trump, they’ll get nothing.

The deal was to take the pay increase now and negotiate automation in Jan. Dockworkers union leader knew they wouldnt be able to stop automation. The dockworkers knew (or should know) that they’d never stop automation. The Biden admin got the parties to negotiate to avoid disruptions and give the workers a raise before automation changes their jobs.

My bet that dockworkers never even come back to try to negotiate because, dockworkers union leader is MAGA.

If MAGA dockworkers are upset they’ll be on the FA & FO thread.

No, that's not what most Democrats wanted and it's one of the reasons Biden didn't do that and instead encouraged a raise for the dockworkers.

Desantis, a republican, was calling out the national guard so he could put down any dock worker strikes in Florida.

Believe what you want, and even believe some of those trolls were actually Democrats. Doesn't matter anymore as of January 20th, you will get everything that Trump wants.

Now after the election, DCUM is suddenly back to being pro-union again, and cares about the plight of the port workers.

That's a different contract. This one is all East Coast.

Ports should run 24 hours a day on three shifts. Not one shift of 8 hours and 16 hours of overtime.
