Dockworker’s strike

What about if we build a floating pier outside of Gaza?

The most amazing thing is the fact that the news isn't really reporting on this in the lead-up.

Why should they be stepping in?

These dockworkers have legitimate concerns and grievances. I don’t want Biden/Harris shutting down a labor action that affects real people.

If there’s a strike, then it needs to run as long as necessary for the union to get a fair contract. You HAVE to make a stand.

Biden has not exactly been the best friend to union workers, and staying OUT of this would be the BEST thing he can do.

How the Dems bungled into ww3 with nobody volunteering to the military takes the cake. The hyperinflation and fast food becoming a luxury item is just in its infancy.

A draft will solve the military staffing problem

And who would replace them? All the brown ppl Trump is rounding up and deporting?

Biden broke the railroad strike and later got the workers everything they wanted plus more. How has he been a poor friend to union workers? Can you give me an example?

Don’t hold your breath. They will not answer.

That’s too much thinking in advance for Trump and MAGA to be able to answer. They just like the idea of firing strikers no matter the consequences.

The dockworkers do at least control the timing of the strike. They could agree on a 3 month extension of the current contract in order to push this past the election. I'm guessing that the union believes threatening a major strike so close to the election will motivate the administration to pressure management for concessions. Either that, or (like the Teamsters) they see their constituency shifting to Trump and this is basically their body blow against the Democrats.

This should be stated again. Hmmmm now why would the media ignore this huge story that doesn't show the Biden/HARRIS administration in the best light? A real head scratcher.

My disgusting uncle turned this topic into a vicious homophobic rant on our family group chat. I won’t repeat the slurs

The MAGAs are so disgusting.

Why even bring up your uncle then? What was the purpose?

He is cackling with delight that shelves will be empty and after the pandemic inflation, the orange sun king will return.

Basically he wants the union to do Trump’s bidding and make Biden Harris look bad.

As usual, Republicans want bad things to happen as long as they can get something out of it
