It’s not silent. It is just not on FOX…so you do not see it. Many Americans are questioning why blacks are good enough to die in the desert for Israel but are removed by force as the president of Harvard. I know you want to go back to the Jim Crow laws but the vast majority of Americans are not with you.

I watch CNN and MSNBC primarily and none of them report mass protests for these three black men killed, did i miss something? Also, weird comparison: since when Harvard president was denied to serve in US forces?

It wasn’t 3 black men killed. One was a woman, JFC.

Two were women.
Kennedy and Breonna.

Correct three Americans serving their country were killed and many more wounded in this attack!

The heavily telegraphed US response will be coming soon but probably won’t be very effective in deterring future attacks on our troops.

Does this have any connection to us leaving Afghanistan?

I read this the opposite way: Iran and its proxy have already issued conciliatory statements.

They’re signaling hard that they don’t want significant conflict with the US.

Situation unlikely to escalate.

Of course. Iran and the rest of the US's adversaries witnessed the debacle of the withdrawal, noted that not one person was held accountable for the disaster, and knew that they are dealing with a very weak administration that would prefer to appease the opposition than to confront them.

Two days ago a Houthi missile got close enough that a phalanx had to be used to protect a destroyer. That's the first time that a phalanx has ever been used to down a missile in combat. We were literally seconds away from a massive escalation if that gun didn't work perfectly

Will American cargo ships pass safely unencumbered through the Red Sea anytime soon?

Will American soldiers in the Middle East stop being targeted for attack?

If you answered no to these questions wouldn’t you say things have already escalated to an unacceptable level?

We should just accept their apology?

So basically we aren’t going to respond. It feels like this is where it’s headed.

We'll respond, but it won't be the bombing of Tehran the right has been screaming about for the last two decades.

And Israel but really those two are the same entity.

Well I suppose you have been happy that we aren’t escalating even though Iraon clearly is. Chamberlain was also worried about escalating while Hitler was not. We know how that story went. There is a long term cost to appeasement.

We should not go 5 minutes. And we do not cause the wars.

What about the second Iraq war?

Do they really have the upper hand?

Surely not

The deluded gonna delude!

From a military standpoint, right now, today -- there is no country that can go to war with us and survive. A case can be made for China. But that is all. There would be a cost in money which we have lots of and does not really matter and people which is a tough one. But what you cannot do is ignore the attack.

That was caused because SH said he had WMDs. We did not cause that at all. If he had said no WMDs and the inspectors came in then no war.

American does not have cargo ships. This is 2024 not 1950.
