The U.S. military launched an air assault on dozens of sites in Iraq and Syria used by Iranian-backed militias Friday, in the opening salvo of retaliation for the drone strike that killed three U.S. troops in Jordan last weekend, officials told The Associated Press.

Yeah hitting targets for Israel because you know we are stupid. Wonder how what the ratio of Toyota Tacoma destroyed vs $14 million missiles used is?

President Biden is facing criticism for telegraphing Friday's U.S. strikes in the Middle East, with reports that a number of Iranian intelligence and military officials who may have assisted the militias involved in the attack on U.S. troops had already fled.

Oh no! Maybe Israel will have Biden removed from office?

That’s right hate of Persians is okay but criticism of Israel is unacceptable! I guess the US will have to bomb the pp for you?

125 munitions on 85 targets over 8 sites by B1's from the US with more to come when we feel like it. Now that's a response.

I love how straight forward and clear Biden and the DOD team have been.

Israel we would moab Tehran, Tel Aviv, Riyadh, Damascus, beirut, sanaa and Baghdad all at the same time and see the confusion and reaction

Just one big “time out” to all the sand people

It was little more than a multi-million dollar fireworks display. They were kind enough to let Iran know of their plans.

Anyone with half a brain knows how it works out when they kill US military members. I didn’t have any doubt that we would strike Iran proxies. Why would Iran have doubts?

And yet, we still managed to kill Iraqi civilians.

"The American administration committed a new aggression against the sovereignty of Iraq, as the locations of our security forces, in the Akashat and Al-Qaim regions, as well as neighboring civilian places, were bombed by several American aircraft," said the Iraqi government. "This blatant aggression led to 16 martyrs, including civilians, in addition to 25 wounded. It also caused losses and damage to residential buildings and citizens’ property."

It is too early to assess how effective these US strikes have been and whether we will see multiple strikes over the coming days and weeks.

But we should assess their effectiveness by how many senior IRGC officers are killed and regime military capabilities destroyed not by how many American bombs destroyed ammunition dumps or killed militia members.

Iran’s supreme leader is happy to replenish his terror proxies with more weapons and fight the US and our allies to the last militia member.

What he really fears is direct American power against his regime.

We should learn from the Israelis. Israel has quietly killed 17 IRGC senior officers in Syria since December 25. Reports that IRGC now pulled their senior commanders out of Syria.

The Israelis don’t telegraph their punches, they don’t leak to reporters their plans, they don’t let their targets get out of Dodge. They strike the regime directly. They keep quiet.

The Biden administration also has to stop providing the people who are killing Americans with billions of dollars in sanctions relief.

He has stopped enforcing the oil sanctions that drove Iranian oil sales to 100,000 barrels per day during the Trump administration. Now they are over 1.3 million barrels per day. Iran’s foreign exchange reserves have gone from $4 billion under Trump to over $20 billion under Biden.

And Biden also gave Iran access to $16 billion in frozen oil funds.

Is it any surprise that Iran’s economy grew faster under Biden than the American economy?

If Biden doesn’t want the violence to escalate into a major regional war, he needs to make Khamenei understand the high costs for his regime from continued aggression.

lol! That’s a good one! The Israelis are incompetent fools. How quickly everyone forget Oct7 and the Gaza operation that followed. Israel does not have the ability to hit the targets the US just cleared out for them. You would think the Israel would be grateful for this action and show some remorse for getting US serviceman killed? Nope! It is never enough for the Israel. How many Americans must die for Israel?
This is such a farce. Think about why the US is in this situation. It is because Israel has continued to destroy Gaza and kill civilians. Remember Israel has target many sites in Lebanon Jordan Syria, etc and those group struck back at the US. It is not our job to take out Iran.
If Israel wants to take out Iran, they need to do it themselves without the US.
