New Elon Jewish take

Anonymous
As much as I despise Musk I actually think he's right. I don't think talk should be regarded as antisemitism just because someone suggests that Jews are always completely focused on themselves to the result of hurting other non Jews. I mean I also think African Americans should stop focusing on the repressions of slavery and being compensated for it and instead focus on the present. Be as successful as you can be. I also think affirmative action sucks and I happen to be a minority. Unless you can document his actions hurting Jews or discriminating v them I don't think his statement suggests he hates all Jews. He is stating a belief he has and it is unfavorable toward Jews which is not the same as saying he is v all Jews. And this is exactly why people have a prob with so many Jews is because they are so sensitive to anything about them being talked about not in the positive. As an Asian woman, I can't tell you how many times our culture is spat on and we do not jump to the conclusion the world is v Asians!

Yes, he’s boosting Pizzagate. Years after it’s been thoroughly debunked.

This would appear to mean that a lot of young white progressives who are ticked off AT Israel haven’t assimilated, among other problems with this definition.

aren’t they also passionate about just about everything in this country?

You think most Jews only care about Israel and don't care about any domestic politics at all?

you sat so many "interesting" things that i dont know where to start. Blacks should stop focusing on slavery and being compensated and focus on the present. maybe they are focusing the present. so many White people think that they got what they have because they deserve it and Blacks dont just because they did not work hard enough. maybe pointing out the violence and stealing of work and wealth done for centuries against Blacks and re-establishing the truth (that has been accurately hidden) is focusing on the present. so many Whites benefited from the fact that their working class fathers went to WWII, came back and used the GI Bill to get better jobs, bought homes that increased in value significantly passing the wealth to their White kids, while Blacks in the exact same situations were not able to obtain the same benefits coming back from the war, could not buy homes in good areas or where they bought the value went down due to redlining and so on. people are hurting now due to these policies, bringing them to the surface is not focusing on the past, is very much focusing on the present. and this is just one example

affirmative action sucks and you are a minority. you are Asian right? a minority that is over-represented in schools so thanks.

Jews are too sensitive. this takes the cake. I am very critical of Israel' policies toward the Palestinians and very critical of Israel's supporters to wield the "antisemite" label to quash anybody who is not in line with Israeli's settlers. but what you say is ridiculous. there are people who are antisemitic and Elon is one of those. he did not just state a belief that is negative onn Jews, he openly supported an antisemitic trope well known among White supremacists, that immigrants (and this means people like you and your kids, even if you have been here for generations) are replacing White Americans and that Jews are orchestrating this replacement. this is not just an opinion, this is pure antisemitism, of the type that bring RW crazies to a synagogue with a machine gun.

His statements suggest he thinks Jews are deliberately trying to destroy America and/or hurt white people by supporting immigration. Not only is that inherently racist (why would immigration be destroying America?), but it also echoes VERY longstanding conspiracy theories about how the evil manipulative Jews will try to destroy societies we live in from within.

Good to know you have a problem with Jews, too, though!

DP

No.

American Jews care about domestic politics first

BUT

The fervor in which they care about Israeli issues far surpasses any other -“hyphen Americans” and their old world connections

Cuban Americans are probably second to Jewish Americans on this phenomenon.

Most other hyphen Americans either:

1. Dislike their old world roots
2. Ignore their old world roots
3. Are ignorant or don’t care about their old world roots

As an example:

1. German Americans are all across PA and the Midwest but have zero interest in German domestic and geopolitics. In fact considering most German Americans are republicans, the majority of German Americans dislike modern Germany and think it is an effete and dumb country.

2. English Americans are heavily in the south, Utah, and New England.

Most English Americans are totally ignorant on modern 🇬🇧 affairs, don’t care about 🇬🇧, and many outside of performative interest in the royals think 🇬🇧 is cringe

3. Italian Americans have superficial interest in Italy but it’s almost a stereotype when the first time they interact with modern Italy, they hate it.

3. Most non-white hyphen Americans either dislike their old world countries or just try to “out of sight out of mind.” There are some for sure into their old countries but do not really use political influence in great force to shape geopolitics with an “old world centric”‘posture.

Jews are by far singular in their focus on a foreign country

None of those other groups had to contend with people trying to wipe them off the planet(and nearly succeeding) all throughout history.

That’s fine and good - I’m not suggesting Israel shouldn’t exist or assert its interests

my point is if Jews here care so much, please move to Israel

That’s one thing I def agree with many Zionists - all Jews should move to Israel if they care that much about it (which it’s clear they do)

They’re citizens of this country and just as entitled to stay here as you are. If that bothers you so much then perhaps you should take yourself elsewhere.

I'd like to introduce you to my Irish-American relatives. They are all 7-8 generation Americans in at this point. But you'd never guess it, lol. And they all know the names of Irish political leaders. And boy do they have opinions about the Troubles. And the English.
