What an idiot.
X Races to Contain Damage After Elon Musk Endorses Antisemitic Post https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/16/technology/elon-musk-endorses-antisemitic-post-ibm.html |
Yup. “X employees said they had gotten calls from advertisers wondering why Musk was “making comments seen as antisemitic and why their ads were showing up next to white nationalist and Nazi content, according to internal messages.” |
It actually makes a lot of sense. Twitter's core demographic is terminally-online young leftists, and they all support Palestine. So this is a "hello fellow young people" moment. |
| I’m shocked any national brand advertisers are still on X. |
|
Elon didn’t say anything wrong.
The left just cannot process their inability to control speech on x. |
This is true. |

Question for Jewish posters: what should I do about posts/posters like the previous two who are clearly supporting antisemitism? Boot/delete or keep?
|
This. |
Jews are white people, many of whom pretend to be non-whites so they can join the anti-white pile-on. Many actual non-whites go along with the charade. |
I think being an antisemite should get you booted, personally. But you'll be busy morning till night if you implement that standard while the Gaza thread is still going so hot and heavy. |
This is wrong on many levels. Like "Hispanic", "Jewish" does not refer to a race. There are African Jews like those from Ethiopia and African American Jews like Sammy Davis Jr. Many Jews with origins in Arab countries may be classified as "white" but culturally the identify differently, exactly like many Arab-Americans. Even among very assimilated "white" Jews, some may not identify as white for various reasons. Whatever reasons Jews may have for not identifying as white — and certainly many do identify that way — wanting to join an anti-white pile-on is far, far down the list. |
Jewish poster here. I dunno if booting the post is the right thing to do. They'll just keep cropping up as a game of whac-a-mole. It would be better to flag it and add context that it's debunked/antisemitic/etc and ban the IP address or something like that. However, I recognize you have limited resources here. I think it's important for everyone else though to see that social media is awash in this kind of thing right now and it's pretty uncomfortable for us. |
I honestly wish all commenters that resort to ethnic hatred and stereotypes, would get the boot. But it’s impossible. Maybe just lock the thread. |
I’m not Jewish, but if I’m allowed to chime in perhaps you could consider putting a sticky up on the forum like you have for the racists? |

Jewish PP. I'm reminded of this whenever I see anti-semitic comments like Elon's or those in this thread:
“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.” ― Jean-Paul Sartre |
