A childhood friend was abducted off her bike.
They aren’t magic.

Who ever said that? There are so many cases of people abducted off bikes.

Amber Haggermann
Johnny Gosch

No one says kids are safe on bikes.

When my kids first started riding their bikes on their own, I told them that if they sense danger, they should wrap their arms through the frame, hang on like leeches and scream. Moving a kid who won’t let go of a bike is a challenge. I’m not saying it would have saved charlotte from this predator, but at least it’s something. And whenever my kids are out on their own, they have a whistle.

So happy she was found safe and I hope and pray nothing too traumatic happened to her (relatively speaking - I know it was traumatic no matter what).

There was a giant thread about one in Alabama recently.

Interesting coincidence that that 3 violent criminals who have recently abducted and/or murdered women are all 6'4" with intimidating builds (this sick NY dude, plus the NY architect dude accused of killing several women and the Baltimore dude accused of killing the young woman in her apt building).

If it happened to my family member, I would absolutely take a horrific revenge.

What's interesting is you rarely hear of this happening.

What if your family didn't want that? I wouldn't want to lose DH because he murdered someone.

That’s why I loved the book A Time To Kill, because the dad murdered his kids rapist and the jury acquitted him

Almost like it's fiction.

I think it's horrible to further traumatize your child by murdering someone going to prison, thus depriving them of a parent. How irresponsible to do that to your child just to fulfill your own desire for revenge.

I read that the police watched the suspect put a ransom note in the mailbox but didn’t track him and arrest him until they identified the fingerprints. If that’s true, why in the world didn’t they detain and question him as he was walking away from the mailbox? I mean, my God, what if the note didn’t have any fingerprints and they let him slip through their fingers?

It would not matter to me because my life would be over if something happened to my kids.

Oh, I know that I would not let my DH kill someone’s because he is very moral and forgiving.

I would do the killing myself.
