Charlotte Sena - Missing NY 9YO

This is so scary...9YO went for a bike ride while on a family camping trip and never came back. Hoping for a safe return

Terrifying. We’re nearby and I let my kids (8, 11) have room to roam and explore when we’re at Moreau and Saratoga—they’re often out of my line of sight.

I hope she is found safe and unharmed. I can’t imagine just doing one more loop around the campground and just never coming back. Somebody had to have been watching her or the group of kids.

This is terrifying and I pray they find her alive.

NOT victim blaming since this is my own anxiety, but it's why I am overprotective and insist on at least a duo when wandering a bit farther afield especially in an isolated or unknown place. These events are rare and I recognize I worry about the one in a million scenarios like this one, but the heartache and terror this family is feeling right now is unimaginable.

+1 This is heartbreaking. I'm praying for her to have just gotten lost and be found safe and sound, even though I know it's highly unlikely. My heart goes out to this child and her family.

I would totally let my kid do this at 9. Yes I prefer she be with friends but if she wanted to do one more loop I would have said yes too.

They weren’t sure it was an abduction at first.

They started looking for her immediately. The Amber alert is in case she was abducted and is somewhere else. But if she came off her bike and is somewhere in the woods or lake where they are looking, the Amber alert isn't about that.

The bike was found within 30 minutes. You'd still think an amber alert could be issued a be more quickly. I wonder if they have cameras going in and out of the park.

It makes me so angry that there are predators our there - total monsters. I want to tear them limb to limb. I really hope and pray she has not been abducted. This poor family.
