I would absolutely love to know the details of the bolded above, but I'm not entirely surprised that Martin Holmes was able to put this together. It's called working outside the system with good people you trust, everyone keeping their mouth shut, and luck. Now how all that came together is something I would like to read. |
My take on the Royal family is very boring: the British aristocracy have been like this literally forever. barely a year goes by without a series of movie about them or their forebears. IT's just the way it is. Less murder these days. I feel like the consensus on Bill and Hillary is that they loved/love either very much, but Bill can't keep it in his pants. At some point, divorce didn't make sense re: her political ambitions, and here we are. |
I think there was love there and still is, but tempered obviously by decades and decades and serious challenges together. Life is not a romance novel obviously. They created what works for them. |
+1 re Bill and Hillary. I think they both agreed that it would be "her turn" after his presidency, so she was faced with two choices: (1) leave him, thereby creating more controversy, have the jilted ex-wife label for the rest of her life, and navigate electoral politics on her own, or (2) stay together, move past the cheating narrative, and have his/his team/Bill-friendly party infrastructure help launch her political career in NY. Add in the love/affection that I do think existed between them at some point, and she chose (2). |
Taylor was mad at Katy "stealing" some of her background dancers. |
|
I grew up in the same town as Katy Perry and when we were in hs her parents refused to let her perform in a musical revue performance of “Cell Block Tango” with me and some other girls because they deemed it “too risqué” for their good little Christian daughter.
A couple of years later I guess she proved them wrong… She was very mousy and shy I recall. |
That explanation has never been all that persuasive, really. The dancers supposedly had clauses written into their contracts to allow them to leave the tour with 30 days notice. I have a hard time believing that Taylor took their contractually-sound move so personally that she created this crazy public beef that lasted for years. Beyond her little "special place in hell" remark, you didn't see her go after Tiny and Amy nearly as hard, and they made fun of her publicly. I really think there was some personal aspect to the beef (John Mayer?) that neither has an interest in sharing publicly, so maybe we will never know. |
OMG I think the pic side-by-side next to Sinatra almost PROVE he was spawned from Sinatra! |
| I didn’t read through all pages, so excuse me if Natalie Wood’s death was already mentioned. |
At first glance to those pictures, I also thought Ronan has Woody's nose. HOWEVER, I can also see the Sinatra resemblance. Whoever his father is, Ronan is smart and very handsome. |
She did start as a Christian rock singer! |
I think there was/is genuine love between them. How incredibly hurtful for her to have to endure public knowledge of their marital issues. |
Oh come on...she was going to "go after" Tina fey and Amy Poehler? Two beloved, powerful and accomplished comedic icons who are about twenty years older? Please. She's not an idiot. |
I'm convinced that Katie Holmes's father likely worked with Nicole Kidman to get Katie out of that marriage with Suri. Nicole likely instructed them on what evidence to gather, how to exploit the Scientology system/structure, etc. After Nicole lost her kids, I doubt she wanted to see Katie go through the same thing. In fact, you'd do anything to ensure that man (TC) doesn't hurt another mom. |
BS fueled by misogyny. Kurt was a heroin fiend and couldn't quit. Do you know what that's like? Read more than garbage pp. |
